they were sung mostly mostly a couple of seasons ago mostly by a group of supporters called the 'village fete'. fagin knows all those guys well, not sure where the name came from. All through the Southend game away in the 2000/01 we sang such Village Fete songs as great as 'IRB a Shrewsbury fan' - it was quality

They're very funny! I like the idea that- so- they can think we're a lot of rustics- so, let's make it a plus factor- with songs about driving tractors and pinching bums- all that wholesome ribald country humour that makes you think of frolics in the hay..etc..!!! (I like honest ribaldry- as opposed to smarmy smut!! ) (Though I may live in pie-eater land- I'm a country lass at heart- grew up in Market Drayton, don't forget!)

i think it is very interesting that we hate Wrexham with hardly a mention of Telford
I do hope a generation of younger fans don't grow up thinking we have anything to fear from Telford, except maybe drowning on their pitch

Super Luke-ee (tune: Chas'n'Dave's Snooker Loopy ) Super Luke-ee nuts are we, Him and you, and you & me; You'll be shocked at what he'll do, When he puts the ball in the net past you. Down in Leyton, He got two, How many more will he put past you, Super Luke-ee nuts are we, We're all Luke-ee loopy. Absolutly classic material

;D
These were top notch - teaching the Everton fans all the words to the village fate in the Crown has to be one of surreal momentsso far in my life!
Obviously Jaspa as a creative god (together with steve) and when Alcohol is involved new tunes just pop up from no where.
(Steve if you read this can you remeber all the words to the Abba song?)

It would be good to add some more- but we need some "ground rules"- such as:- (1.) The chant or song has had to have been actually sung (or chanted) (2.) The song or chant is added with the approval of at least two other Shrews supporters.
We've had some great ones suggested on this board- but I don't think they've been sung yet. There was a Christmas song, to the tune of "'Tis the Season to be Jolly" written by "gingashrew" that had the line- "You'll get a pastin' from Sammy Aiston -Fa, la,la, fa,la,la, la,la, la"- brilliant line, that!
Now that was sung- but only by me and my grand-daughter at the Boxing day match- in the Family Stand- and not loud senough! (I'd printed the words off.) We really need to get a new song-sheet going- best of the old- and some new.
