lol ;D it was childish but as far as i am aware it was truthful ? whether you agree with it or not? No. This bit >>He named two clubs - but failed to mention what Hereford, Chester and some Telford fans think of them. Just reading some of the internet message boards will give you a clearer picture. Arrogant is the most popular word associated with Shrewsbury fans, with claims of Luke Rodgers breaking all Conference scoring records, going up with record points and winning games by four, five or six goals. << Since when did the actions of a couple give way to the opinions and beliefs of all? For every 'stfc fans are arrogant' etc. post there has been on t'internet there have been supporters from clubs from all over the Conference supporting us, telling us what our fans were like to meet in person - not judging the club's fans by their keyboard warriors. May I also add that much of the early season 'arrogant' posts on Confguide by supposed Salop fans turned out to be a Telford fan in disguise. While I am not trying to hide the fact that some people did make quite ridiculous predictions these numbers are in single figues here in t'internet land. Shall I write a letter, on the basis of the action of the minority of Telford fans, informing Star readers that all Telford fans are hooligans and spend their days on t'internet pretending to be supporters of other clubs? No. As for the real World the rapport we've had with supporters from other clubs before and after games has been terrific, win lose or draw.

so you agree with me then Ant some Conf fans do think some of you are arrogant, and you also agree with me that some of your fans came out with outrageous statements. Even one of the letters in the Star last week said "we will probably be in the play offs"lol i did put reference to that but that part wasn't printed. I never said all your fans were like this but some are i've met Skipwithrob and he is certainly arrogant regarding Shrewsbury so please tell me what isn't truthful then Ant?

Bally, a very immature letter from somebody i would have expected better from.
Ant's spot on with his assement. I wouldn't tar Telford fans with the 'hooligan' brush because there was some trouble at Aldershot on saturday.

>>Just reading some of the internet message boards will give you a clearer picture. << Re: what other conference fans think of us is un-true. Take a look at the Conf messageboards INCLUDING the chester, hereford and telford and they're not as anti-STFC, claiming we're arrogant as you imply. Ever thought of a job as a SABC Tory councillor? ;D

Ant i chose to use facts that suited my argument and ignored others and haven't all the letters in the Star the last week or so been equally childish, including one by someone off here.Which was congratulated by people from here i suppose thats different though. The opening line of my letter which again wasn't printed was "I thought i would lower myself to reply to all the comical letters from Shrews fans"

Call it what you like Bally owd lad, you're implying stereotypes from little other than hearsay or conjecture. Sadly I think we'll see another 'my dad is bigger than yours' response from a Town fan within the next couple of days or so, in which case I guess it'll be mission accomplished for you

:(Cheers bally, you have cracked mate. Just thought our friends from the East End may want to know the words to a song ;D I did not want them to think the whole of our county is like Telford. Did not take long for a Daggers fan to agree with me on there though did it. I have got bigger news too bally. I am in Telford on Saturday, so look out

Very harsh Bally, we spoke STFC a few years ago, just off the back of us just missing out on the play-offs. What was I supposed to say? We're crap and we're going to get relegated? No i was optimistic, as was any fan.
as for being arrogent. Yes I did think Rodgers would score 30+ goals. Whys' that arrogent I based it on the fact he'd scored 20 goals for a side who got relegated from a higher division. As for doing well, I was working on the premis that we were keeping our best players, losing the s**te and actuall y had money to spend, unlike previously relegated clubs. Not arrogent, just going on the facts.
If you're making reference to that post 2/3 seasons ago when I the p**s out of everything telford, the get a life!!!
