We need a fans meeting with the players and directors, no media no bulls**t to sort the rumours the crap out once and for all.
An agenda by someone (Throb for example...hint hint) can be drawn up and agreed with where we can get to the bottom of the s**t and eventually get back to supporting the team/club and not let items such as the programme get in our way.
Thoughts please!

Shrewforever - let us act collectively. Act individually and you get picked off. I suggested after the Dagenham game that we put out a statement as members of the blue and amber website - I still think we should.

U seem to be on a big downer at the mo Sean and rightly so but on this matter I agree with you. Things are getting pretty bad round these parts and they need sorting quickly

Only problem would be who would be allowed to go?
I assume members/leaders of recognised STFC groups.
Would the rest of us be allowed to know what was said/discussed or would we be kept in the dark?
If so I would see it as a great injustice. the club needs to be made accountable, and I'm afraid that by doing what they did last season, will not do this time around (telling a few people what was going on but asking them to keep quiet) I believe Jonah was one of them, I maybe wrong, if so sorry.

You are right Sean.............
whether its a collective response from B&A or the forum group or whoever I dont really care.
I found his comments about comparing this season to last hurtful and disrespectful and I want an apology.
I'm happy to persue it individually but agree a collective response would carry more weight and I am prepared to lend my efforts to that end as well............

Well if there is going to be a meeting it must not be in the players lounge, that is not big enough. Maybe the Barnabus Centre? All should be allowed. It may not have been a success before, this time I just think it will be.

This is the best thing i have read on the message board for months - and hopefully it can be organised. We as the fans (and most of us on here count ourselves as the hardcore of fans) need to be heard and want questions answered but there is no reason why this cannot be done in a positive, fair, and non agressive manner, as if it was not the club would dismiss this out of hand (probably)
Put me down to help in any way boys - I have spent soooo much money in the last few years on the town and would like to be involved in finding out where my (hard earned) cash as gone
A Press realease to the press from us the fans would a cracking idea - any one involved in the media or journalism could help???

Its right to question the situation. Many people (I imagine Sean to be one + me) are not satisfied that the inadequacies of last season both on & off the field have been addressed. We are being dished up with some pretty dire stuff again, lack of progress, rumour, and the hurtful comments of our Manager.
I really doubt you'll get the board to be represented, but good luck. RW will come out to defend himself if attacked thats about it.
Wouldnt surprise me if you got a meeting, of which the content/issues covered would be highly watered down.

Everyone is talking as if we are bottom of the league, about to go into administration, the chairman has sold the ground to a gypsy from Walsall for 50p and you want the manager sacked?!!
Calm down.......
What questions do you want answering?
Why not raise them via the next umbrella group meeting?

OK JP. What do you want to say? For me the focus has to be Jimmy Quinn and the performance against Accrington Stanley - of the fans, the players and, most importantly in my view - the management staff.
I want to say something like this:
1) Regret that Jimmy Quinn has made the comments he has about the fans. I might like to say something about last season seeing as he wasn't here.
2) Comment about the appeal for patience (in much the same vein as has occurred already on the m/b).
3) Indicate the higher attendances at home this season, and that this has something to do with our fear for the future of our football club.
4) The accrington game:
a) the loud vocal support for the team before and during the game.
b) the observed deficiencies in the initial team selection (if he can tell us how to be fans, we can tell him how to be a manager).
c) the observed problems during the game. (see my post on my thread on the official mb as a starter - basically 2 pts dropped because the bench seemed happy with the draw).
5) review the season. Refer to his admittance that we dropped 9 points in the first half.
Performances and team selection disppointing. despite the recruitment of people with pedigree - no doubt at some expense - to add to the players we already have here.
This is just off the top of my head, as I've just been helping the eldest with her homework, and have taken a break from doing some of my own studying. Fire away.
I'm reluctant to slag off individual players because I think its about the collective and how it is being led that is the problem. I saw 100% effort on the pitch on Saturday but no real idea how to channel it. hey needed help from the bench and I ddin't see that on Saturday except O'Connor for Cramb - lets settle for the draw. I thought the players on the pitch clearly did not want that.
Shrewforever your input on the last season part, if you could. Suggest anyone who wants to can pitch in and that we send it to the Shropshire Star as well as Roland Wycherley with all the names and addresses attached of people who agree with its contents.

Firstly we are playing into opponents hands if we involve the media, let them deal with Telford's cup run and let us and the club deal with this. Chester/Hereford are already smelling our worries why broadcast it further.
Need to mention the changes in tactics from game to game, Chester go with a 3-5-2 and stick with it, we should stay with whats best for us 4-4-2. If he cant see that Sam Aiston is a much better wide player than central then he needs to come with me next week when I visit Specsavers.
Quinn needs to know that blaming us and the pitch for his tactical mistakes is pure daft and doesnt fool anyone. I simply believe he is losing faith in supporters and that could be money down the drain.
I will think of more, just cherning some ideas around me noggin.
(Sean you said about O'connor on for Cramb, it was tactical just changing once again)

Don't agree, it won't change anything, it will do more harm than good writing to the Shropshire Star.
Why not just organise an open meeting with the manager and staff as organised by the official supporters club in the past.
Yes, it is frustrating, but stop the witch hunt, like I said, it is as though we are bottom of the league with a dodgy chairman that doesn't give a monkeys...
I didn't find Quinn's comments offensive, he is telling it like it is. Accrington came for a bore draw on a dodgy pitch. Let's move on please!!!

hmm, yes I could set an agenda and I could chair what would be a very heated meeting (i learned modesty from Skippy ) but I am a nobody and no-one has heard of me, certainly Roland or Jimmy won't know who I am and so I would suggest I am the wrong person for the job, because at this rate it would be you and Sean asking me questions, with fagin there cos he heard we were going to the pub afterwards! I understand your sentiments JP, but the bottom line it it isn't going to happen, and if it did your best bet is the Ade P / Umbrella Group avenue becuase then you may at least get Keith and Chic! sorry to write myself off and everything, but people don't know who I am, I don't have contacts in the club and if I wanted to arrange some big open meeting they would just pat me on the head and tell me to run along like a good boy!

STFC have an open invitation to use Barnabas for any meeting, as long as we have space, and Whitters knows that but this one ain't gonna happen JP, it is just gonna rumble on and on and on until Luke and Dave Edwards are sold, then we'll all look at Tolley in fear and wonder what on earth is going on

How many of you wanted Mr Chic Bates back?
Our football is as bad as it was when he was in charge in the 80s
JQ seems to have got rid of the dead wood and has signed a proper goalkeeper
What does Mr David Cooke actually do?
Why were we playing amazing football pre-season? What has gone wrong? Something has, I can feel it on the Wakeman End terrace.
I think JQ needs to look at his staff and the people behind him and question their input. Foggy and JQ = promotion?
