Apologies for this but need to get this off my chest.... ;D I really dont know what to think of the season so far and in particular jimmy quinns management. Firstly taking into account performances it has been disgraceful. Only one good performance and most of the others totally unacceptable. Dagenham was due and not a one off blip as some mentioned at the time. On the other hand we are fifth with game/s in hand so this is not too bad (due to poor standard of the league more than anything IMO!!) So maybe quinn is doing something right Players brought in by Quinn seem good players. Howie, Ridler, Tinson, O'conner, Darby, Cramb, Banim, Street all seem good players although some have there off days generally am happy with these players. All positions are filled except for left back and right wing which at this level cant expect each position to be filled with quality. Which brings me to the question of if we have (what i believe to be) good quality players why cant quinn get them to play well? Also why is he obsessed with changing tactics dependant on who we play? Man utd, arsenal dont drop henry/van nistleroy because leicester have two big centre backs. If the opposition have a big centre back i am sure they would be delighted to play against a big striker rather than a small quick striker who would give them the run around. We are one of the big boys in this league let the others adjust to us. Find the best 11 and stick to them!! Anyway rant over!! Heres hoping jimmy can turn performances around.

JP Shrew I think you are spot on mate. I think JQ gives the opposition far to much respect and this filters down to the players who. We also try to walk the ball in the net, everyone is to scared to take resposibility and bloody shoot. When Banim came against Telford he had 4 shots on goal in 10 mins, now even he doesn't shoot on sight. The only shot from a distance on Sat was from Dave Edwards in the last minute. Every game we play is a tough game according to JQ, well IMO they are not and it's time we started a bit of steam rollering ourselves. Time to talk it up Jimmy, throw away your boots and manage from the touchline.

Im sure I have heard him say "let them worry about us" , but he so clearly doesnt mean it. He's also got this thing about big strikers and "that extra bit of height"...play it on the deck Quinn that extra bit of height wont matter down there"
Bloody fustrating isnt it!

I a look at the other squads in this league and not being arrogant but why arent we top of the league? why arent we winning more comfortably? There is something amiss at GM

You are right JP
where is the team spirit / togetherness?
the professional footballers who have been int he league must just be laughing at Cooke trying to talk football, i doubt they are happy at our lack of a qualified physio and certainly must be questioning Quinn being int he team
I fear Quinn has talked a good game to get them to join but the reality for them has been a massive disappointment, as we are looking more and more like an amateur club

I wont go into the Deano returning as I am keeping my thoughts to myself, but Cooke is another thing. I spoke on Radio Shropshire yesterday asking James Bond why we have a First Team coach and a Asst Manager? Clubs like Bristol City dont have them, we dont need them both. James said "Cooke is a good man manager" big bloody deal! he also said "they come as a package I suppose" Well he should have a "package" tour out of STFC, because I cant see what he does.

If cooke is in for 'Man Management' then turning players proven at this level or higher into a poorly performing team is man managegement we can do without!!

If I was Colin Cramb or Martin O'Connor I would be really annoyed at the situation. I reckon lads like Luke and Tolley must be thinking the same too, because it just seems like a shambles, with far too many friends involved and just power games between egos
