All is confirmed for Saturday's supporters team game vs Radcliffe Borough. We are meeting the lads at the pitches in Radcliffe (I've got directions - will print them out for Pete on Saturday). They have a grass pitch booked BUT if it is in too poor a state they also have the club astroturf as well. So please take BOOTS AND ASTRO TRAINERS. I believe the minibus is leaving at 7-45am - can anyone confirm? I maybe wrong

Really looking forward to this game, thanks to the Radcliffe supporters team for sorting it out - it's a real top effort. No chance at playing on Radcliffes ground then?

There's a half chance of playing on our ground before we play pre-season and the weather's all nice... I'll see what I can do...

ant, do we have Maelor as ref for the Telford game, i think we'll need him. why, were only playing for a laugh, cant think of anyone who'd go out there way to hurt anyone, although scouse is playing so if anyone wants to give him a chop!! heres to a good game

Maelor is very impartial, surley you would prefer a ref like that Lee compared to one of our own or no ref at all?
I'm sure the game will be played in good spirits anyway.

wasnt referring to a fans game. he's not popular in telford after his performance in the SSC final and calling our game against alfreton off - and the fact he's a town fan hope my toes have recovered, dont wanna miss this

But of course Lee, there's only one side to every argument.
Because it wasn't Mr Lewis who was brought in to call the Town Vs Burton game off earlier in the season was it?
And of course neither was it Rob Lewis who booked four Salop players in the SSC final at the Old Bucks Head ground several years ago pĂssing off the Town management at the time either.
Get over it!

i just dont like the guy as he hasnt reffed a good game that ive seen yet - the shrewsbury fan bit doesnt matter.
i just dont think much of his referring ability from the games ive seen him, all the others i couldnt comment on.
he called alfreton off becasue he thought it may rain, alas it was a dry sunny day - but we won the replay so nevermind!
who plays your right wing and right back (and are they any good) as its likely ill be shipped onto the left somewhere

I can assure you that although your pitch was inspected in the morning, it was your groundsman (i can name but won't) that made a major input as to what he actually thought should really happen regarding whether the game went ahead or not.

lee every game of footy needs a ref even if they can be a bit s**t at times. footy can be an agressive phyisical game.
the potential for grief can happen at any time but especially against two teams who will really want to beat each other.
i dont want to see no trouble as it would leave a sour taste, so thats why we need a strong ref who wont take no s**t and keep a lid on any potential trouble. maelor fits the bill.
