Are these designs from fans or from the manufacturer, if they are the fans then who designed them?
Has to be the Amber one for me.

if the amber one is chosen, then I guess that would rule out a return to blue & amber stripes for the home kit in 2005?

Not too sure which of the three was the one designed by the fan, would be good to know mind.
If I'm honest I think they're all s**te but I'll go with the white one I reckon...

I thought it was that fans submitted kit designs, the board and manager decided their fav three and then the fans vote their fav out of the short-listed 3.
Unfortunatley not everyone is going to be happy with the selection of kits,
which is dissapointing considering all of the fans input in creating the procedure and putting in the entries.
It's dissapointing that people will still moan at the designs but I guess that is just the way of life.

I agree, the Amber shirt is my favourite.
Which company will be making the shirt? Any chance of Patrick coming back to help?

''Its disappointing that people will still moan at the designs but I guess that is just the way of life."
Blimey, you have to be careful what you say on here these days don’t you!! If that was directed at me I'm not moaning, I'm just saying that I think they are s**te (or perhaps I should have worded it ‘not very good) designs…simple as...
I understand that it will be MG Sportswear that will make the kit...not too sure which design is theirs but I think they also contributed one or two as well as the supporters...

Fair enough Stutty, Over-reaction from me maybe, I guess I'm just starting to realise that no matter what improvements are made to a system not everyone is going to be happy. The kits maybe shíte but at least they're fan designed shíte eh ;D Purely out of interest did you submit a kit design?

Not wishing to rock the boat or owt Ian but you mean the three that were picked were entered by a fair few Town fans, yeah? These were the most popular designs? I did ant yeah, a couple...I was hoping for a white shirt with blue and amber stripe from left to right our kid. Guess it didn't impress the judges!!

As long as the winner isn't the red kit im Personally if i was buying to wear out socially it would be the white design as i think the amber design looks similar to the Wolves kit, don't want people thinking we're Wolves fans do we?

I will say this though... I hope that whoever picked the shirt into account any design that were designed and submitted by many supporters. As this is a clear indication that a lot of supporters wished to see that shirt introduced. But I'm sure they did, Shrewsbury Town Football Club aren't that daft are they!!

we should have had a fame academy type thing and vote off the worst kit each week from a large selection
can't complain though as this whole kit selection process is going exactly as agree

You didn't bin all of my designs Ian. And you've spelt Broseley wrong. Clearly there are three main colours - red, white and yellow/amber. And so they picked what they felt was the best of each. I can see Stutt's point. But it's hard to get excited by a diagram. Maybe if there were computerised mock-ups people would see it better. I think once its chosen people will go for it. So far people I have spoken to who are fans have most strongly reacted in favour of the amber one. I think that's unfortunate when it comes to a replacement home kit. Funnily enough people who I have spoken to who aren't fans say the amber one is the worst.

I admire you for your opinons which are honest, but sometimes you really are just totally antagonostic.
If you arent happy with the three dseigns which are all designed by your and mine fellow colleagues of supporters then I suggest you direct your anger at Mr Quinn, Mr Wychereley, and Mr Whitrick.
Buy the way Stutty, did you take part?
No, thought not!

like i said the comp is running exactly as we requested at the umbrella meeting
it was also suggested that the 3 names are not revealed to avoid any possible vote rigging
the winner will not only be named but will win a signed copy of the new kit
how many would have moaned had the 3 kits all been the same colour ?
i think its been done very fair and i'm as disappointed as anyone that i never made the last 3 but perhaps ian could arrange for a blue peter badge for all us losers ;D

*lol* Oh dear me...bless...
Anger is it, what anger? As for the competition, I did have a go yes (as I mention in this same thread our kid)...
Blimey it's getting a bit touchy, touchy on here in it...
I thought we were supposed to contact the club through the Umbrella group and the like? Of course I'm not 100% happy with how the kits been decided upon but that's what was agreed and that's how it's to be...doesn't mean it can't improve in the future does it? I can see it from both corners meself...yep the designs were submitted by supporters but who then had the choice and picked those that are to be voted on?
Calm down our kid, take it easy...put yer feet up and have a cup of tea eh...

the first time the 'fans to choose the kit' was mentioned at the umbrella meeting it was turned down flat by the board member
"oh no there are certain things the board likes to decide and that is one of them" or words to that effect
for one they were worried we would end up with another scrambled egg kit
but we persisted and explained that from the few hundred entries expected the board could choose the last 3 which in theory could be 3 almost identicle kits to their liking
i for one was very surprised when i saw 3 completely different colours (this must prove they have chosen what they think was the best and given us a variety)
to me this is nothing more than a victory for the umbrella group and those who suggested that the umbrella group bring it up
yes it could have been made more exciting but one step at a time eh

Indeed PILCH, one step at a time our kid...
One thing though, why on earth would they think they would end up with another scabbled egg design? If anything, that is the best proof in the world that shows that a board should not choose the kit!! ;D
