Did Quinn actually blame the "boobly" pitch (Sorry- I meant to say "bobbly" -it might have been a bit more understandable if it had been "boobly!!" I listened to Radio Shropshire, as I usually do when I get home - and heard the bobbly pitch mentioned- but missed Quinn's "post-mortem!" Did he REALLY blame the pitch? !!! I don't believe this guy. What kind of ego-trip is he on at all? Why is he playing himself again? I heard the booos at the end. It reminded me of when I was at Leigh, in November- just about as impressive, I gather. Is he thick-skinned- or is he thick-skinned?!!! He MUST know how the supporters feel. Is he deaf as well as daft?!

He certainly did use the pitch as an excuse! He tried to put a spin on things, trying to imply it was a good point against a good side and the value of a clean sheet etc ... For me it was comfortably our worst home performance of the season, I didn't go to Leigh RMI or Tamworth so i'm not in a position to make comparisons with those games I doubt the Town would have scored had they still been playing now! We didnt look like scoring, but neither did Accrington, the pitch did look a bit of a mess though, you couldnt really make too many passes on a pitch like that.
I suppose JQ did sound a bit like Mick Moans but it was never going to be a good game of football with the pitch cutting up as easily as it did and I think it suited Accrington's gameplan more, and I have to say Accrington are a bloody hardworking side.

As I said earlier, I didn't think the pitch was any worse than last Saturday when Quinn didn't deem it worthy of a mention in his post-match comments
