Or sounds like they could be, sounds a bit harse but rules are rules,
The Leigh RMI replay at Stalybridge Celtic has been put off - but at the request of the FA. This is to give time to investigate an allegation that Leigh RMI played an ineligible player, goalkeeper Seb Rowe, in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Hilton Park.
We understand that Rowe signed nine days ahead of the game, so met the 7-day requirement for the FA Trophy. However, he played in the US during the summer, and apparently the doubt relates to his international clearance. He had played in England since then for Atherton Colliery, and on that basis Leigh RMI apparently thought that international clearance was not necessary.
An FA hearing will respolve the matter on Friday.
If it is found that Rowe was not entitled to play, Leigh RMI are likely to be thrown out of the competition. He was brought in due to Gary Kelly being out with a broken thumb, and Ian Martin being "cup tied".

town got thrown out of the welsh cup on a technicality years ago
ron green had been on loan for months and either he signed for good or signed an extension of his loan just before a welsh cup tie which we won 2-0 and canaerfon complained than he wasnt signed 7 days before the game
we got thrown out and not in so many words told the welsh fa to f*** off
i do miss the welsh cup and the welsh must miss us too i remember llanidloes playing a tie at the meadow and tickets for one of the ipswich games were on sale inside the ground
a game like that for a small club is like winning the lottery
well done canaerfon the stubborn welsh club that refused to join the welsh league for years
