I really can't see them surviving as a football club now unless someone comes in quick with lots of cash. I guess Reynolds still owns the new ground so they could be back playing at Feethams soon (which incidentaly is my favourite ground I've been to apart from the Meadow). However, with no financial backer and a team in free fall and they might count themselves lucky to be still around to play in the conference next year.
I see on ceefax that the administrators are set to announce the level of club debt this week - I'd be very surprised if it didn't run into many millions and for a club of darlo's size I feel it could be pretty close to the end.

Things are looking pretty grim for Darlo. You have to feel sorry for their fans,it's not their fault they had a numptie as chairman.Would not be surprised if they went bust.

Theres a long way to run on this I reckon...could end up with the chairman owning the ground and the supporters the club. Not too sure I'd like him as a landlord, mind...
Does seem to be one or two interested parties though. Good luck to them, I hope it all works out for the best...

Did I not hear that a guy from Oswestry was heading a consortium who'd put in a bid to the Administrators ?

That guy from Oswestry runs Lloyds Animal Feeds I think, he's been a Darlo director for quite a while I think.
Darlo have a beautiful new stadium but its just far, far too big for a club of their size and it will cost them a fortune to upkeep it in the future, have to say I really liked Feethams though.

Reynolds believes that if the stadium could be used for other (non football) events then it would help a great deal...and you can not under estimate the amount of money that non matchday events can generate. You only need to look at Walsall to see that...a football staduim needs to be making money day in, day out...not just on the Saturday and odd midweek night. I'm sure if they could get that sorted it would help them out big time...
Their old ground reminds me a little of the Meadow...but they, like us, need to move on...big it maybe but surely they have to continue to use the new stadium and redevelop Feethams for another purpose (but still within football and sport, mind)...
