Could you post your views on two specific topics please?
A) Ticket prices for the Hucknall game - What initiatives could we do? - If Hucknalll want full price, how else could we get more people to the game?
B) Season tickets by direct debits - What anyone be interested? - How could you ensure that people who defaulted couldn't just keep their books? - How could this be linked up with the AMber Blue savings accounts.
Grateful for any thoughts.

A) if the 2 clubs can't agree to reduce prices at least do a special offer for the concessions like last seasons ldv £2 for the kids.
B)Season tickets by direct debit , bad idea people can cancel , especially if the teams down the lower half of the league, and after the expense of xmas etc.
Could possibly forward the idea of pre dated Cheques, the club could cash them in over the period of the season , and although the person again could cancel them, many banks charge between £8/£12 on your request , if the club has 10 pre dated and signed cheques its not a very good move for the individual to cancel. Just a thought.

Is it legal to pre-date such cheques?

One idea would be to allow under 16's in free for the day!
Hucknall Town can hardly moan as they have done the same for all their home matches for the rest of the season. Hucknall Town Admission Prices Adults £6 - Concessions £4
HOWEVER
schoolchildren aged 16 and under will now get in FREE (that's right, NOTHING TO PAY) - it will not matter whether they are with a paying adult or not Unibond League Matches ONLY

Is it legal to pre-date such cheques? yes , and many mail order firms do use such a practice , unless laws have changed recently.

(a) Though im not a season ticket holder, maybe the club could offer a discount for the next round of the FA Trophy for them and a less reduced offer for priority card holders.
(b)If the club drew up a legal document, which stated if direct debit was cancelled the supporter would be legally bound to pay the difference. Surely this would stop any cancellations. Furthermore, if the Club did the direct debit over a 12 month period they would be getting money into their coffers through the close season, which IMO wouldn't be a bad thing.

Re: direct debit.
Why not get people to pay in say 2 monthly slots and get STFC to send out the tickets they have paid for at the start of each month.
This may be a lot of hassle but I'm sure the ticketing group could fine tune the problems

'fraid I don't know how the season ticketing system works , but here's an idea on prevention of DD scammers.
Assuming each ST holder has a unique number, and all associated paraphernalia is numbered same, then if a DD is cancelled/fails to pay, simply block that number for advance ticketing, keep a list of blocked STs at the stiles, whatever. Much easier to do with an Electronic gate system, but possible with pure manpower.
Perhaps adopt the TV licence system as well - In the first 6 months, pay the entire balance for an ST in 6 payments. Then you can start paying in advance for the next season's ticket. This way, club has 6 month's ST cash in advance of the next season and can plan the budget a little more ahead than if only sold in the last month prior to the season, for example.
If the ST price increases for the next season, the increase would be worked into the final 6 month's payments.
It would be possible to make the ST a contracted purchase, a la Cable TV, where you must pay the minimum 6 / 12 payments before you can withdraw, but this might be unattractive.

Can you ask them why Season ticket holders had to pay full price on Saturday?
Do we get no cup games with our season tickets?

Season Ticket Holders were given two pre-season friendlies as a form of compensation for the two less league games this year.
If a fan chooses to buy a season ticket, and pay by direct debit,do you not think they will remain loyal to the club for longer, if they have money coming out of the bank every month, and they have to go to the effort of cancelling their payments. Alternatively, they get half way through the season and then they stop going, they have no obligation to the club and do not have to make any further arrangements.
it would be a concern however, that supporters who normally pay up front, will take the direct debit option, and then the club will have less money at the start of the season to buy new players.
