I think it will be a bit of a shock when the Hucknall fans see our prices, according to their site adults pay £6, concessions pay £4 and all under-16's get in for nothing! Also their ground is apparently quite basic and might not get into the Conference Premier (as it should be called next year) because of it.

I can't see Hucknall agreeing. They will surely want to make the most out of a big game, and the have to agree the prices with Town.

I will raise this as an issue at the ticketing meeting tomorrow night to see the feeling at the club.

One doubts that Hucknall would agree to reduced prices as like many other clubs they would like the revenue generated from the fixture.

I would have thought with all the money Hucknall has earned from his dodgy records, he will be able to pay full price, even at your place!

If Hucknall don't agree to a pricing stratergy for this game they may be shooting themselves in the foot. They have to accept that this is not an attractive fixture for many Town fans and as a consequence the gate may well in fact be greatly reduced. This is an ideal oppurtunity for the Town to make good their promise and make serious reductions.Get the kids in for free or for a quid and the adults will follow.

when it says a price must be agree this doesn't mean that it has to be the normal price eg town must still contact hucknall and suggest £12 if they want to keep prices the same and keeping the prices at £12 will not attract the maximum gate if it did then why not say £14 and make more money on the other hand lowering the gate price may bring in more but make less money (like it did last time) it is a difficult decision to set the optimum price maybe stfc should look at it from a different angle and maybe issue vouchers at the game for discount at the following league game they did say offers would be running throughout the season

I'm confussed...granted it don't take much but there you go...
I thought the information posted by PILCH about the Trophy and pricing showed that you only need to agree with the visiting team if you wished to put the entry price UP from the minimum that is listed? The way I read it is that the entry price must start at 5 (or 6, can't recall) pounds and if you wish to make it higher you have to agree with the visiting team?
Anyone else read it that way? I'm that if we charge the minimum then we don't have to agree anything with our mopped top ginger haired mancunian visitor!! Or?

Stutty The regulations set a minimum charge, but both clubs have to mutually agree the price, provided it is above that minimum.
That's how I read it anyway.
Hucknall might agree something with kids prices, but if I were them I would be saying leave the main prices alone. Based on 2.500, knock £2 off and you need another 500 through the gate to make it up.

I take it the Trophy's like the cup in that the gate recipts are split 50/50, then?
I reckon we should get a reasonably decent crowd for the game - you'd have thought Hucknall would be considered at least as big a draw as Morecambe (again) in terms of interest.
I reckon the Dagenham result has as much to do with Saturday's result as the competition.
