Saw the lad for the first time.Ungainley Gangley, arms all over the place real tryer, In all a real handfull with those telescopic long legs.A good game to watch Howie was great Darby showed quality on the ball,The new lads played well. Not trying to put the mockers on it did it feel to any one else both sides had some gas left in their tanks, may be with this weeks games in mind?

Just wait to TBH see's this thread, he's worse than those MAAS guys ;D
I like what I've seen so far of big Nev, but he's either going to be a legend or just another tall gangly bloke who get's the odd goal.
Lets hope Jimmy can bring him on in the next two seasons or so.

I'd liken him more to Kevin Francis, aka Bamby.

% or 10 mins at the end of a game against a tiring defence is not a fair way to sum up this lads potential. He will be lucky to start a game this season I predict.

Just wait to TBH see's this thread, he's worse than those MAAS guys ;D you, sir, are a cheeky monkey! Throb was never the greatest of footballers, but he tried hard, and was a legend off the pitch, a really nice fella! he's the kind of guy in twenty years time we may not be remembering his football, but he will still take the time to visit shrewsbury and see people he knew, he's a top lad and will always be popular cos he worked hard

You, Sir, are the one with the monkey As for you MAAS guys, your just living in the past ;D I think given the time and effort he might break through at somepoint but he's certainly got some work to do yet.

Someone remind me of that striker we had at the Town , he was coloured played up front and was about 8 foot tall , by memory he scored one of Towns fastest goals at the GM in 13 seconds, i think it was against colchester.

O'Neill 'Tufty' Donaldson. Didn't play many games for us.
He was behind Joe Gallen in the strikers pecking order which shows how good he was!

Didn't Tufty go on to play for Sheffield Weds and score in the Premiership?

He may not have been the best Town player to play up front ,but i had respect for him because he always gave 100%, he did score goals but obviously the club thought he would progress further elsewhere.

Donaldson had quite a few injury problems while at Salop too if I remember correctly.
Went on to play for Mansfield and Doncaster as well as Sheffield Wednesday and scored a fair few goals.

Donaldson went on to play for Doncaster then Mansfield (7 goals in 5 loan games). Sheffield Wednesday then paid £50,000 and he scored 3 in 4 starts (10 sub appearances). He then went on to Oxford, Stoke, Torquay and Halesowen. I've no idea if he is still playing but is 34 now so maybe he is.

Hang on. Aren't we suppost to be talking about Nev. he has obviously caused some real debate.
The guy came in and caused real problems, he was strong and determined, and the way he turned 3 defenders at the end was sheer class.
Nev you can be a great player for STFC - and I want to see you start a game for the Shrews.
