I doubt it is a demand thing
You go into Hay on Wye, famous for second hand books, and everything is over £20
Breathe on em salop is a decent book that comes up on ebay every so often, and there are quite a few copies around the school fetes / car boot sales
a sepcialist shop will just see it was a limited print and then whack an exorbatant price on it.
I think this is shown by the way one is £40 and one is £60, they just see it is a little bit alternative and crank the price up, with no real reference to demand or value

Very insightful Throb. There's isn't a market maker, so there is little or no liquidity and so its price is subject to distortions.

Take your point TBH but I have seen them sell on e bay for over £20 so If you want to make a bit of cash go round the car boot sales and flog them on e bay and surely there is a market and they are worth what someone will pay ?

Fantastic I've been trying to get hold of one on and off for a good few years now. I think dad gave his away too which makes it all the worse.

Breathe On Em Salop only covers Town's history up until 1994, maybe Mike Jones could produce a new edition which contains the original chapters with the last ten seasons (1994-2004) added onto it once this season has finished?
Also, this other 'Town book' that has been produced (From the banks of the River Severn it seems to be called?) where could you get that and is it a good read?

I would be inclined just to let it stop after 1994!!

We've had rumours of a new editiion of Breathe On 'Em before, mainly during our 50th league season. Hope it happens this time, although I would prefer a supplement detailing from 1994 to date because I still have the original book.
Greg, are you Mike Jones's son? I played with him for Wenlock Juniors.

Maybe he could test the water in terms of how many folks are prepared to commit their money and pre-order the book?

Now that is something i would pre-order.
When it comes to MM i had't realised that there were any copies left - maybe this could be mentioned in next week B&A article in the programme.
How many are left anyway?
