"Please Mr Quinn, don't turn into a Ratcliffe, sort it or get out". But said with such passion (and significantly more words) !

FAO TelfordShrews: I distictally remember him ranting:
"I have rung up to talk to about Shrewsbury Town, they lost 5-0 to D&R on saturday, The way this club has deteriorated since lets year is astonishing- We are considered a big club in the conference and our fans bring fantastic support every where we go. Mr.Quinn please, please sort it out- if you can't just go!"

I think you can imagine how I felt Saturday. I didn't go, I was at Stafford v Grantham. I nearly went. Nearly pointed the car down south for a lst minute drive, liek I did last season for Southend. I sit in there stand and my fone just beeps. 1-0, 2-0, 3-0. Telford r winning at Crewe. 4-0, 5-0. And I just wonder what is going on? I'm not Anti Quinn. I want him to succeed, but I'll nebver forgive myself for not questionning things last season when they went tits up. I believed in Ratters blindly right to the bitter end, and spent all summer regretting that fact. That is why I have worked so hard setting up the Umbrella Group. It's my therapy in a way, but also knowing that it's a way that everyone can work together for the good of the club. However what it can't do is infleunce events on the pitch. I'm justy annoyed. Annopyed with the players, annoyed at the stories I'm hearing at the mo, which don't seem too similar to what I was hearing last year. Annoyed that with this fantastic support, we are still contriving some how to f@@@ it up. You should never look back in the past, but when you have sen Town beat Man City, Newcastle, Chelsea, Portsmouth, Wolves, West Brom, Charlton. Still have the programmes in mint condition as if they were yesterday, along with memories you really wonder just why it all wnet wrong. Losing 5-0 to Dagenham was the last straw for me, I wont improvement and want it now! I know my comments wont be seen in too good a light at the club, but I've always been honest and passionate about my football, and it 's not going to stop me know. I'm not a losse cannon, but sometimes things have to be said. Saturday night on Radio Five's Rant Line was the time to say them, and part from my web article tomorrow I don't intend to elaborate on them, or continue to wine on about it . I just want things to change. COME ON SALOP!!!!!!

I wish I could've heard it Adi.
I believe many Town fans learnt alot from supporting the previous regime to the end, even when things were clearly not happening. We will question events rather than just let them occur. Even Ant says it at he sees it now!!! ;D
If whatever you said hurts someone at the club so be it. They will know that we are hurting too over it. Maybe last weekends result is giving all an opportunity to vent frustrations over a wide range of issues; team selection, tactics, JQ's playing time, players travelling independantly to games. These are all topics which have drummed up passionate debate.
Would a Q&A session held today have a different tone to the one held a few weeks back? Too right.
I can only hope that last saturday is the wake up call that JQ talks about, and not another false dawn. Time, and games, are running out for us mount a serious challenge on the title. We need to see immediate improvement.

You have a right to express your opinion Ade. I don't necessarily agree with the sentiments that the game at Dagenham was Quinn's fault but like you ,for me, this was an all time low. Don't concern yourself too much if you get slagged for it. At least you got a better response on here than I did for my "Donkey Darby" thread written after Saturday's game. I got alot of abuse for expressing my honest opinion. I've been so p****d off by the response that I have decided not to go on Saturday. I'm utterly dismayed by the attitude of some of our fans. I fully expect my absences to become far more frequent from now on.

Ok, i didnt go to Dagenham, only the 2 Northwich games, but after them there was a lot of optimism. We had started to take maximum points against the lesser teams and we looked atleast a solid play-off team. Now one loss (and that is all it is, we would have been in the same position if we lost 1-0) and its all doom and gloom again. Okay 5-0 is terrible, but i can let that go once a season. Once a year, we will all have an absolute shocker at work, but its not the norm. I'd rather just put it down to a bad day at the office for the players and look at the positives: Aiston Jody Banim Before Saturday the 2nd best defence in the league behind Chester. Only a couple of points of second with a lot of games to go. I just think the success of Telford is making some people think that our current plight is worse than it is.

I see what you're saying Mr Aiston but as others have pointed elsewhere - some of the away performances have been shocking (Leigh, Scarborough, Stevenage etc) so it's not just a one off the result had been coming. The apparant lack of pride and passion hurt jsut as much as the result.

As a Telford fan i would gladly swop our postitions, wish to h*ll that we had the points for those cup games, shrews are in a good postion and will remain in the playoffs, we will make top 10.

It's not one bad display though, we're awful to watch and never look capable of really throttling a side (Hereford the one exception).
