Bit of a shock that, i thought he looked a decent player, i thought they would want to keep hold of their good players in the run up to the championship/play-offs.
£75,000 though, i'd like to think we would get more than that for say Luke or Jamie if they were to be sold wouldn't you?

Difference in that Rodgers is a proven League player, and isnt he younger than Parry too?

Oh good. ;D
Now he's gone, Sammy is definitely the undisputed number one Conference left-winger.

He was before, Parry is very over rated, the signing is probably much to do with Hammam's desire to sign Welsh players
Hereford have got a very good price for him in my opinion

Prof, have to disagree with you there.
To form an opinion of a player you only have to watch them once, right?
But to get an equal balance on him, you have to watch him consistently over a number of games, as Cardiff have done with Parry.
In my opinion Parry is a very good player. I have watched him on approx 12 occassions in first team games over the course of a number of seasons. Personally i think Cardiff have got a bargain for a player who will continue to improve.

I saw him v Leicester some years ago and he was full of promise then. He does look a good player, though it wouldnt surprise me if he's going to a new club who will have a change of manager soon.

I've seen him play at least 4 or 5 times Shakey and I don't think he'll make it at that level, time will tell ...

i agree sam has done nothing for ages he beats 2/3 players on the halfway line and everyone thinks he is the new georgie best he may be like besty off the pitch, but not on it

ahh Prof... couldn't agree more, is he good enough for that level? personally i don't think so either. So we do agree on that. Only time will tell, yep

Well said Pilch. Sammy has the talent and it's great when he goes past two or three players from the halfway line. But without a final product ie a goal from him or a killer final pass/cross all those runs are is a longwinded way of conceding possession...
Imagine Aiston with Luke's ability to finish..

Afternoon chaps
Deal was for £75k,rising to £200k with appearances. Good business for a player whose contract was up in the summer and could have left for nothing.
We're sorry to lose him but wish him all the best-he gave us 5 good years.
Rumours that his place in the side will be taken by Dean Craven are completely unfounded...

Sorry there was me thinking that Sam was the main reasons we scored 3 goals.
There was me thinking, that by just beeing on the pitch most of the time that he automatically people out of the game creating space elsewhere on the pitch for other players.
Than thre is the entertainment factor. how many other players do we have tht gets the crowd excited by just running at the opposition with the ball.
Totally unjustified comments on him, his general performances and the end of last seasons performances.

A comment from the Morecambe message board today
"if parry is worth 75k god knows what sam aiston is worth 150k???"

yet again proved his critics wrong. put in a good strong performance, combing dribbling, with simple passes and tackleing. Combining entertainment with an end product again today.
Has simply got to be a main contender for player of the season on his current form.
Could be argued that he was our player of the year for the last calender year?

awesome so far from Sammy
long may it continue
anyone who criticises his passing / shooting obviously don't realise we are in the conference and only attract conference players, of which sammy is very very good
i personally think sammy could make div 2
even in games when he can't cross or shoot, he gets 10+ free kicks and the full back booked
with lukey off the pace he;s the only player who really scares the opposition, from sc***horpe to morecambe he has done the business, so credit where it is due, he;s having a blinding season and is well on course for player of the season, with only tolley or tinson in with a shout alongside aiston
yet still people moan

Has simply got to be a main contender for player of the season on his current form. He's definitely well up there but for me that award would have to go the Tinson, the bloke is awesome and hardly ever puts a foot wrong Safe to say if we'd had Tinson last year we'd still be in division 3

he is so calm, nothing phases him and he always tries to direct his clearances instead of just lumping them forward.
Ridler is the perfect foil, and it makes a change to have centrebacks that talk to each other on & off the pitch!
well done tinno

Tinson's been the most consistent. Followed by Tolley and Moss. Aiston has been playing pretty well for the couple of months -hopefully he can do it for the rest of the season.

The only thing Parry does not have that Aiston has is pace. He is quick but not like your so loved Sammy. Parry has better quality on the ball, better at keeping the ball, a better temperament, is strong, scores goals (nearly a 1 in 3, for a winger ) oh and can cross it too. And he is 3 ? years younger. He was to Hereford what Jamie Tolley (another ex Hereford Centre of Excellence product ) is you lot now. Aiston has had his chance and blown it imo.

even in games when he can't cross or shoot, he gets 10+ free kicks and the full back booked Trouble is TBH he tends to get booked himself just as many if not more times than the full backs, take the last 2 weeks for example, but in his defence i do think the referee's handing out the yellow cards yesterday and at Dagenham were both crap and seem to be just trying to reach a required figure of bookings for each match

Sam is now on seven yellow cards for the season, that's one part of his game that he still must improve on
Three more yellows and he'll be banned again

Parry, was, without doubt a quality player at Conference level, and Shrewsbury have got no one even close to close to him. I find it amazing that u can question his abilty, u have to watch a player week in week out to judge their ability, ive been doing this for five years with Paul Parry and as Gary Hill said :"best player in the Conference". I will look forward to seeing u at Edgar Street, when some other Hereford quality can demolish the Shrews.

Aiston has had his chance and blown it imo. You may well be right, especially as clubs no longer seem as willing to splash out on players as in previous seasons Sam was unlucky with injuries at Sunderland, he was highly regarded there and could well have made it It's rare for a player to start at a Premiership club, take a drop down the leagues and then return, but the way Sam is playing just now can't fail but to attract to eye of any watching scouts, he could well be the subject of interest from league clubs again if he keeps the good form going
