Saw them last night at the magnificent Reebok Stadium and they were absolutely awesome, whatever doubts Chris Martin had before the album came out he has truly blown away now. Could have done without the pouring rain throughout the two support bands (Morning Runner and Elbow) but oh well.
And I'm sure on the way out I spotted someone in an old Town home shirt (relegation season), anyone off here?

Awesome stuff Pete, cheers!
Just registered on their site to pre-order the tickets
Better venue this time round than last. Palau Sant Jordi has around 20.000 capacity and it's a covered arena.
I wonder if they'll have the same supporting bands....

You should hope not...Morning Runner are quite good but I find Elbow to be the musical equivalent of a night out in Walsall. Supergrass, Interpol and Doves have supported the other dates on the tour, that's more promising

Ooooh, Doves and Interpol sound appealing... As long as they match the quality of Feeder as I saw last time round I'll be happy

My old band supported Soundtrack Of Our Lives once, Swedish band who somehow manage to be more odd than The Hives. Noel Gallagher even commented that some stuff on the new Oasis album had been influenced by them. Don't know a great deal about them but they have been around a while and have about 3 albums or so out, I have one but haven't listened to it yet, I will later and I'll PM you a review!
Don't know about Secret Machines but 22-20s were tipped for big things by NME and were subject to a huge bidding war between record labels but then kind of got lost amongst the hype and allowed an abundance of other bands to steal their crown. Definately blusey kinda vibe going on, sort of like a slightly beefed up and British 'White Stripes'. Their two main singles ('Shoot Your Gun' and 'Such A Fool') are excellent.
And sounds like you know about The Coral, words can't express how excited I am about their UK tour in October...

Cheers Pete, sounds good. Will let you know what The Coral were like, have to admit I was chuffed when I realised it was them in support - had originally read it was Babyshambles but they're doing the Saturday, would have been happy with that but The Coral will be awesome. Each time I've seen Oasis live they've not been the best act there, got a feeling lightening could strike yet again

"but I find Elbow to be the musical equivalent of a night out in Walsall." I love Elbow, quality band!

Babyshambles are playing Shrews Music Hall in August, could be very messy indeed I fear And Craig, I've tried really really hard to get into Elbows music, by definition I should love it but it's just never happened. I've seen them live 3 times now (supporting Muse twice) and that hasn't helped either. And I fear that the fact it started pouring with rain when they came onstage yesterday and ended shortly after they left was no coincidence either ;D

That good Pete?!
Elbow are worse than boring and tepid. If ever there is a time to head to the bar and get a drink its when Elbow have gone on stage...
