I have 8 names guaranteed for the Old Stagonian squad at the moment. I can get 11 very easily, but want to make sure the b&a stags get first shot. List at present is: Gareth fagin Ant Thomas Pricey Phil Thomas Ty Mike Price Robbie Skipworth Anyone other stags fancy a knock? If not, I'll get a couple of the other lads in As for the stag itself, I'll PM you all further details in the next few days but basics are we now have a bus leaving Welshpool about 2pm on Saturday 16 July, and will be leaving there about 10.30am the next morning to get us back in plenty of time for the big game. Cost will be £40 for the Stag and that includes accomodation, travel, t-shirt, one can of Stella and your own personal information pack including drinking rules.......

Gareth fagin Ant Thomas Pricey Phil Thomas Ty Mike Price Robbie Skipworth Without wishing to be controversial that hardly seems a line up to put fear into the Presidents Vets X1. If you wish to save face and reputation perhaps you should widen the appeal out to the board in general now, or we can play with a tennis ball

Having just spent quarter of an hour having to answer quick fire questions from fagin on how people from Shrewsbury are going to make it 17 miles from Shrewsbury to Welshpool to catch the Stag bus with only the options of train, bus and car open to them, I have decided to seriously consider his position as Vice-Captain along with the Field Organising responsibility that goes with it.
Carter will be our overage player however, and his ability to 'spin' certain situations on this messageboard has not gone un-noticed. He will open the attack along with an un-named partner.

All bowlers need to have a name - its a rule (invented by Bill Frindel I think).

All bowlers need to have a name - its a rule (invented by Bill Frindel I think). To compliment Carter's spin, I need a well built paceman, with ability to chuck a few fast ones at the openers, and the unpredictability that he will either knock the stumps out of the ground with his first ball or have MysticsDad searching for his insurance documents as the ball cracks through an upstairs window. Glyn Price, step forward.

. Glyn Price, step forward. Having witnessed at first hand Priceys ball to eye co ordination at both football and golf the thought of him opening the attack for Old Stagonions is almost too much to take

I am available for selection.
I would describe myself as a fast bowler in the Harmison mould.

Think I've been volunteered as a scorer. That's about my level!!! Make the most of it too. More excitement in one Sunday afternoon at KG than a season watching Glue League football

The Stag do sounds quality and incredibly well organised - good work Gaz!
