BBC reports that the Chester City chairman is possibly going to buy a 22.6% interest in Everton at a cost of £7m. Could be a worrying time for Chester again.

I thought you couldn't have more than a 10% stake in more than one team?

I thought you couldn't have more than a 10% stake in more than one team? If he can buy the Everton Shares he just has to put the Chester shares in someone elses name, how about SVJ's name, player/owner

Does that mean that Everton are only valued at about 30 million then, if he can get 22% for 7 million!! I might be completely wrong here but a Premiership team in the Champions league are going to be worth a bit more than that. 40,000 bums on seats every game, £23,000, 000 for Rooney, surely not.
