Paul Bennett - Supporter of STFC and DJ.
He did the disco's in several of the town centre pubs, is he still playing at any of them in the week?
He was and probably still is a friend of Dave walton.

Memories of Sunday nights when myself, Stitch, Seabs and occassionally Darren Currie with a few other Town fans used to go up to the Welsh Harp for a few beers. Always a great atmosphere and packed out. Paul Benett knew how to get the crowds in. The posse as it was known then moved to the Oak, where dancing on tables (shoes off - not allowed!!) was the norm. Finally the show was taken into Town at the then named Jacksons on Barker St. Never as good as the previous two venues. Hell we had some good evenings. Don't think I could last the pace now!!! TSNP (The Sunday Night Posse) must of being the forerunner of WNB (Wednesday Night Beers). ;D ;D

Nothing personal of course.... just a clash of tastes...

Ah Mr Vaughan, part member of the posse!! Indeed they were.
We'd often round it off by walking all the way into town for a curry. Quite a walk from the Welsh Harp at Bicton!!
Strange thing is I always felt ok on the Monday morning, when I probably should have felt like sh*t!!

The Sunday nights at the welsh harp started with about 30 people doing a pop quiz and by 6 weeks later there were about 300 turning up.

Crazy thing was that the brewery who owned the hard stopped the disco's because these were not the type of functions to have it that kind of establishment (fiood/family pub) hence the move to the Oak. Their takings must have been well down. No wonder they eventually knocked the place down!
