You can just imagine the rest of europes major footballing powers wetting themselves at the prospect of facing Crouch at the world cup

13 goals to be fair isnt bad, especially when you consider that Southampton will probably go down.

Get Jason Wilcox in there too in time for the Wales game, and Titus Bramble, with Ian Dunbavin between the sticks in Paul Robinsons absence. That should make up for the head start we are giving you by counting upon Carl Robinson and James Collins to be our international future

Come on guys ! While I wish crouch all the best with his career but is he really going to represent England ?
We have probably the best midfield players for 2 generations coming to maturity, our back 4 is looking quality so are we saying Crouch could be in there with a chance...
Christ it reminds of Barnet a few years ago when some town fan was trying to tell me about John Gayles quality.
Simply put he isn't what we need...

He's done very well for Southampton and I guess deserves a place on the mickey mouse tour to the states; but I very much doubt he'll play any further part for England after that.

i hope he does well, scoring 13 goals for a team who are likely to get relegated is fair going, would of liked to see ashton in there as well.

Carlton Palmer and Andy Sinton played for England, and they were crap

if heskey can get a cap then crouch should as he's scored more this season in a worse team!

i think it's a timely idea by sven. the usa tour is a meaningless event really and sven knows he needs something different on the bench. swapping owen for defoe , vassell or johnson is not going to keep the opposition guessing.
