Well to be honest I didnt think he would play today. But I think he was great. He had a few cracking saves Shame we didnt see Scott play for the last time though

We'll do very well to keep young Joe for much more than another 12 to 18 months. I hope he gets offered another year or two on his contract this summer. This lad will make STFC a lot of money.

Excellent keeper. Need to get him on a good contract then we can sell him for possibly one of the best transfer fees we have had. But then of course as he has come through the youth system and is under 24 we will still get a fee for him anyway

I though I heard or even read somewhere the other week that a new deal for Joe was being sorted out?

I though I heard or even read somewhere the other week that a new deal for Joe was being sorted out? Yes quite right mate, Shropshire Star said he was to be offered a new deal, and with potential like that, the longer the deal the better for us.

GP see's him everyday in training and he states he will play in the premiership one day, lets not also forget Arsenal did invite him to train with them throughout the summer.

he's been quality in the last month or so, but i still want a decent experienced keeper here next season.
He only needs to have an iffy game or two and it could go a bit tits up for him, and without a decent second keeper we could be facing a repeat of 02/03

GP will have an experienced no. 2 keeper here next season, worry not about it.
As for Hart, outstanding again today as he was last week at Swansea.
An awesome talent.

joes kicking was poor at times, and he got bullied on 1 corner 2nd half
but then again if i compare him with myself (or any 17 year old) i couldnt kick it when i was 17, something to do with still being a kid , next year or 3 should see him turn into a man and look out then
good saves today and like always he can only get better
lets hope he puts in 100% committment to being a pro footballer
ps
i dont know his name but was the shot from the black lad going in ?
it would have been some goal if it had
and a great save from joe

Joe Hart has been immense for someone so young
He really could be worth a few quids in a couple of years time
if we talk about keepers maturing later than normal pros then he is excellent, possibly even the best prospect we have had so far
the challenge will be to keep him for a couple of seasons then get him a decent transfer

i was worried when he played last season,he looked nervous and at Morecambe he was scared of their forwards. 12 months later and he looks a superb prospect, his kicking tends to go to a town player when we are so used to it going to a town fan.its also great to see Hart actually hanging on to the ball when he makes a save.Howie tends to push it round the post and we then have to defend a corner. Having said that,Howie would still get my vote as player of the season.

his reflexes are very good i did noticed that his reactions need sharpening up on one back pass it hit a scunny players arm the ref waved play on and joe rushed the kick as it touched a scunny player he could have picked it up
