Will reciting the 1958/9 Division four promotion winning team be OK? How about this teaser. Which club was elected to Division Three North with Salop in 1950? D'oh!

It's just under 3 days till the match, it's been left a little late hasn't it. What are the club going to do, have us sit some sort of test before we are allowed in? I'd better wash one of my Shrews tops!

I think they are slightly nervous of things kicking off in a bad way saturday...you cant blame them!
Talk of a few hundred coming from up north to support Scunny in the home end is worrying.

What's all this about?
If there are any restrictions on entry then we have season tickets and membership cards. That needs to be enough.
That's what they are for.

IF this is the case (I'm waiting for official word) it's poor organisation by either the club or/and police

Perhaps this is the reason why STFC have only given 1,920 tickets to Scunny? Any extras that turn up without tickets could then be shifted over to the Station End with little fuss.

If the club dont do anything and it does result in violence then another hefty fine will be very probable.

I'm never disapointed with the reaction on this board Do you really think the club want to do this? Tannoy anouncment, will the several hundred Scunny fans in the home end please make there way to the away end now thanks to Scunny fans the club will probably have a fatter police bill to pay too.

So if locals turn up for the game without ID they will be turned away. Is that right?

So if locals turn up for the game without ID they will be turned away. Is that right? I can't imagine that would be the case. Any conversation with the bloke on the turnstsyles is bound to result in "owd lad" being uttered at least once. The locals will get in no probs

So if locals turn up for the game without ID they will be turned away. Is that right? I expect the full unabridged(sp) version will be on Radio Shropshire, in the Shrop star & on Shrewsweb tomorrow. It was announced at the end of the game that Membership cards, some form of identity will be needed because of Scunny fans possibly trying to get in the home end.

I really dont see why people are giving this grief? Think about it this way, Town are leading 2-0 and a few hundred Scunny nutters on the wakeman or riverside decide its now time to "kick off" with the locals. Who are you going to blame? The police, The club? The stewards? the bloke on the turnstiles? Town goalscorers? You cant honestly have a go at the club for getting worried and trying to deter this from happening surely

It's only hearsay at the moment Its what Ryan Jarvis said just after the youth team had received their trophy and he bid us farewall.

It's a scare tactic to stop some traveling down, it'll never actually happen.

Did the club go to the police when Scunny sold out their allocation and we were aware that this game was likely to attract a 7000+ crowd, or vice versa, and say let's make this all ticket? They should have done in my opinion. Shambles.

How would a Town supporter that lives away and travels to the game prove they are genuine and not a Sc***horpe supporter tyring to blag it? This is going to cause a lot of grief!

It's a scare tactic to stop some traveling down, it'll never actually happen. I think so too. To be fair to the club, this game is a very hard one for them to effectively manage. If they made it all ticket for home fans then I bet we would have had 1,000+ less Town fans turn up, thus meaning a loss in revenue. I think the club have done everything right, and by giving S****horpe 1,920 tickets they have given themselves a bit of leway (sp?) incase ticketless fans do travel down. I am sure that by the way things have been conducted, we shall get the biggest attendance possible.

Scunny sell out their allowance very quickly - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out some of their fans are gonna travel down without tickets.

It's a scare tactic to stop some traveling down, it'll never actually happen. I thinkyou're right Ant. Having witnesses the scenes that occured between 2.45pm and 2.55pm at the Barnet game a year ago would be aware that the club trying to arrange such a scheme would be impossible. Take the Wakeman stand. Look at the queues that build up there on a big game. Imagine a gateman asking "No sir, I'll need a utility bill with an Sy postcode along with the names of the 3 penalty scorers at Stoke last season"......
