He's a slogging Bok, and should not be picked for England by virtue of not being English. He'll be picked v the Aussies instead of "boring" run machine Ian Bell, the Aussies must be rubbing their hands with glee inbetween p**sing themselves with laughter.
England Test team to face the Aussies:
Trescothick Strauss Vaughan * Key Thorpe Bell Flintoff Foster + Giles Hoggard Harmison

Strauss was brought up in England, speaks with a definite English accent, and would happily identify with his English team-mates. He is English in the same way that (mercenary) Craig White is an Aussie. Pitersen is a mercenary who reckoned he had more chance of being picked for England than South Africa.

Sperson. Is this CS trying to dig himself out of a hole? Bet you wish you had done your research before yesterday's thread don't you?

I know Strauss was born in SA, but as he was brought up in England and is indistinguishable from an English person he is English. Bob Hope was American. Andrew Strauss is English, easy? On the subject of Pietersen, why do people want foreigners to play for the England team?

It certainly does sound as though you are confused cynical. We all know from your many posts what your opinions are so it's a little surprising that you count Strauss as English. I'd have thought anyone who would have been on holiday abroad wouldn't be good enough to be called English by yourself. Still, keep digging

Pitersen is a mercenary who reckoned he had more chance of being picked for England than South Africa. Get your facts right prat Pieterson was born in Pietermaritzburg, the same place as the legendary Jonty Rhodes in 1980. Having played for Natal in his early days, the case of racism saw him moving to England along with his mother to find safer havens. Of course SA pre 1994 would be just your sort of place NWDickhead. Do you want to go down the Basil D'Olivera/John Arlott route again. You really are a loser. Should you not be out with your black shirt on canvassing. Looks like you are going to lose a lot of deposits tomorrow

Looks like you are going to lose a lot of deposits tomorrow Pietersen decided on a future as an England player because he believed the (now dropped) quota system for the South African cricket team might lead to his international career suffering. Whatver the reason he left SA, the fact that he is a Saffie means he should not play for England.
