Cut a forlorn figure at the back of the Centre Stand today. Body language suggested that he may have received some bad news recently.

Why?
Sedge is just great at scoring from free kicks-
Hence he earned the nickname- "Sedgehammer".
What's he doing wrong?

From this week's Chronicle.
"Jake Sedgemore has not featured in Town's last three games because he has not been playing well, says boss Gary Peters. Sedgemore's ommission - he has not even been on the bench - has suprised sections of the Meadow faithful who have been impressed with the utility man's performances this season. But Peters revealed Sedgemore is simly not playing because of his current form and said any player is his squad would be treated in the same way. 'No-ones out of favour at this club and you only get picked by performance', said Peters. 'Theres no animosity between me and Jake, he's a lovely lad and I get on great with him. But if he hasn't been playing well, he doesn't play it's a simple as that. Jake had a spell where he did well but he'd not been recently. In the first half at Northampton he was poor and he came off at half time. Don't let anyone read anything else into it'."

Tis the end of the road for Sedge at Shrewsbury Your right there Dave, if he cant get into a squad with a half fit 37 year old on the bench he never will. I have to admit to thinking he was poor to average under Quinn, but GP turned him into a very useful squad player and I thought he would get a new contract...I thought wrong.
