Some time ago (don't laugh! I've got no street cred anyway, as I said!!) I'd been reading the biography of the composer Mozart.
There was a film about him in the 80's. Showed what a smutty little guy he could be, yet he did all this great music.
In the book, there was a translation from the German of the letters he'd written to his wife while he was away touring, and missing her.
WOW!!! VERY, VERY erotic stuff!!In those days, they could use very basic language!. But it wasn't offensive. It was obvious he loved his wife. "I long for my dear little wife..etc.." (I won't repeat the erotic stuff!!!)
And they ALL, however cultured they were they joked about "toilet humour" and bodily functions all the time- even in letters to parents!!! I found it amazing!! At the same time, they were probably cleverer than a lot of people today.
But it wasn't pornographic. It was loving. That's the difference between erotic and pornographic and I think it's so sad that we don't see much of the former- but loads of porn.
(I think young Wolfgag was a bit selfish, though- the poor woman was pregnant all the time- they had 6 kids and lost all but two.)

The Borgias - classic bad TV It featured a very bad Italian actor as Cesare Borgia, head of the clan, who went on to be Pope. Other Italians were in the supporting cast as his family and I remember the great line "Hail Cheesery, ma fadder da Pop" ;D

(spelling wrong prob), but that was classed as loving artistic stuff....no it wasnt it was an arty type of porn....it was the only reason my dad watched it Aa-ah!! No, I wasn't exactly talking about pornography!! I was talking about the difference between Pornography and Eroticism. There's erotic bits in the Bible, even! (Song of Solomon) IF the programme was just screened for the sole purpose of "titillation" and exploits people- then it's porno. The "rules" put limits on sex- but those people who say the Bible says it's bad are barking right up the wrong tree!!! On the contrary- it says BOTH marriage partners are to keep each other happy!!!! There's very few rules now- and there's kids of 14 getting pregnant and catching nasty things- STD's -that's why there's rules! I just think there's a HUGE, HUGE difference between pornography and eroticism!! I didn't read this book because I knew they'd printed the little guy's sexy letters to his Missus! I didn't know- but they've been kept with his music- and it was his Missus that kept them. She lived about 30 years longer than him and married again- but the letters must have meant a lot to her. I don't think she'd have kept porno!!!! (And if he's brought any home, she might have done some serious damage to his clarinet or something!!! ) But men look at pictures of women- that's natural. It all depends how far it goes.
