in trouble, Just been checking through the league tables and they are 9 points away from safety. Im not one to rub salt into wounds, but i do like a good local derby ;D Anyone know how they are getting on financially, are they still in the you know what? Would hate for them to go bust, but be great to have em down the meadow again

Survival as a club isn't looking too hot at the moment as far as I understand it.

My Dad works with a Wrexham fan, he thinks they won't be around on June 10th. I hope they are, apparently they haven't found a buyer. The syrrey business man pulled out because Alex hamilton was taking too long.

hmm I heard that the Surrey business man is a friend of Hamilton's anyway, so maybe that isnt the road they should take after all. I really hope they come down, I really hope they find a saviour, but I have a gut feeling they wont find one

The fact is that they have the backing of the local council and the welsh assembley, which if i recall correctly prevented hamilton from doing much with the ground.
With that kind of political backing (and baring in mind they are only 1 of 3 welsh fl clubs) I would be greatly surprised if they were not around next season.

I think, and hope, that somehow they'll get out of this mess, but still get relegated!

I hope they get relegated, but i hope they survive , its a great day out home or away, we have had some fantastic derbys with them over the years particulary in the 80's.

Cheers for the votes of confidence! ;D I would say we are down already, we didn't beat the teams around us and have only won twice at home since something like september, thats relegation form. MK dons havn't lost in something like 11 so it looks like they will pull clear. Oldham have made a few new signings and I think they will steer clear of trouble under Ronnie Moore. Were 9 points from safety and have had 10 points deducted. The deduction hit is really bad, the players were demoralised, we can't sign anyone so our squad has been at its bare minimum. Anyway we have a day out on Sunday at the Millenium stadium to look forward too although the result doesn't really bother me. I'd prefer to stay up but again that is not as important as surviving. Smith, the surrey property developer has spent more time on our messageboard than he has trying to tie up a deal. Since October we've had "it'll just be a few more days I need to tie it up with Mr Hamilton". Some people say hes just being used by Hamilton to run down the clock. One things certain, his backers pulled out and he just doesn't havn't the money any more. We're still hopeful someone will come forward and we here that the administrators are in talks with people that don't want to be become public. On June the 10th the football leagues chairman will meet and if Wrexham are still in admin they will decide if we should be put forward for fixtures for the new season or not. On the 21st of July Mr Hamilton has made it clear that he will kick us off the racecourse ground and as of then we have no ground. So guys all in all I would love to be playing aganist you next year! Thats how bad it looks at the minute!!!

one day Hamilton will end up in a very very very bad way
what he has done to Wrexham is a disgrace
he's being investigated for signing the ground away. the issue is that you cannot move an asset away from a company without telling all the shareholders
It is all very sad, and the Wrexham fans are far more innocent int his situation than the Telfor dfans were. It was the Wrexham fans who brought all the dodgy dealing to light and stood up to Hamilton, at least giving them a chance at survival

I have to admit - I do like the local derbies between us - and although i enjoy the rivalry - I would not like to see them go out of business - good luck to them and heres to a couple of cracking games next season.... Unlike telford who I was quite glad to see their downfall as they were getting ideas above their station
