Sheron is a good stopgap solution. We are really missing somebody with a bit of nous up front and his goal-scoring record isn't bad. I notice that Moss wasn't in the Crewe starting line-up last night at West Ham and didn't come on either. Anybody know what happened to him? Injured or dropped?

selling our best players to Crewe and bringing in Macclesfield rejects?? That’s why football is great. League positions do not (well, outside of the top part of the Premiership) remain constant for any particular length of time. Teams yo-yo between leagues, and go through peaks and troughs (well, all apart from Rochdale). Thank goodness they do, and that it is not just about the size of your club that dictates at what level you play. For if it were, we would have no chance of ever rising out of the bottom half of this division, nor have the successes of the 1980s to look back upon.
