Much discussion has taken place in recent weeks in getting B&A a decent kit, partly for Barca but also for friendlys and alike.
Currentley the Argie kit is used by the Under 20's, the B&A's and the Vets, and the rest being made up of old ASFC ends.
Would you, the user of B&A, mind the football teams getting a lovely spanking new kit using B&A funds?
Please support this poll. Many thanks.

i have a quote in my posession for a very good deal with sportsjam (top lads for the 6 a side team the quote was for 8 shirts, but we could easily make that 13 and have a full kit wouldnt be any use for barca though because one of the rules is you have to wear the replica shirt of the team or country you are representing.

Yes it a good idea – the kits have been getting a lot of use recently and are starting to show there age now. A nice new kit in barca would show that were taking it seriously and then when were back the rest of the B and A crew can make use of it for the next 2-3 years – everyone wins Great Idea

I don;t think we should use current B&A funds to pay for it
we have always said all the money "goes to the club" or whatever, so spending it on ourselves seems a bit weird
we could do a special event, one of the socials, with the specific aim of buying a full kit
and we should look for sponsorship, i am sure there would be a local firm interested even if it was £100 it would help
The issue I have is the reason money has been given so far, and we need to be clear with people
but i have nothing against raising money especially for a new kit in the future

I dont go to B&A fundraising events so I know I dont have much right of a say in this but I think all supporters affilations attached to Shrewsbury Town should provide the sole aim of raising money for the club in one form or another.
I agree that B&A needs a new kit as the Argie kit is years old but maybe a sponsorship deal could be found somewhere? If B&A can find sponsorship deals for prediction and betting leagues etc then I'm sure they can find one for a new kit.

I suggest that past B&A funds aren't used for this purpose for the reasons TBH and Schizo said, however: * If the ed team are happy with it, some money from sales of B&A fanzine issue 6 could go towards it, we could raise some sponsorship by getting a name printed on the kit, and finally people who want their own shirts (like some of us regulars) can pay £20 and get the full kit for keeps. Just an idea to kick about

I'd pay for my own shirt if people went with that idea, not that I can make many games!
The B&A Fanzine idea could work, as long as we make it clear in that issue about what we were doing and why

I'd love B&A to buy a new kit for use in tournaments, matches etc.....
However, it just wouldn't feel right taking the money out of the B&A fund that has been designated a use for STFC.

I would suggest the B+A football team are good representatives for Shrewsbury Town Football Club as are any supporters teams and a such need the right image to represent the club,if that means a new strip and the money is already there..so be it.

The B&A Fanzine idea could work, as long as we make it clear in that issue about what we were doing and why suggesting such a thing after having a go at mark for doing the same thing with tms, shame on you mr m

I aggree with TBH. We shouldn't pay for a new kit out of the B&A funds. We should put part of the money from the fanzine towards it and raise some more money separetly to go towards the new kit. I'd defently buy a shirt becuase I love the matches that we do. They're super'b!

I'm personally not in favour of using existing funds for the purchase of a new kit as that was not the intention when the monies were first raised.
I am also not actually in favour of diverting some funds from the forth coming issue of the fanzine as again not everyone who purchases one will be in agreement . It's too late when you've taken their £1 to say " by the way, we're going to buy a fans kit with some of the money"
Surely it's not beyond our collective wit to organise a one off event or series of events which, combined with sponsorship would adequately finance this worthy and needed project. Plus we have fun in the process.

Thank you for your views everyone, a good range of answers from across the board. Further discussions will take place at the end of the season rather than rushing things now but hopefully all will be satisfied at the outcome
