erm he is stil a regular fixture in the Forrest first team. So in the short term I can't see him going anywhere, let alone a club two league below his present one bound by a tight budget with little room for manouver at the moment.
As for the future, I think his contract is out in the summer, however he is just the sort of player Megson should want in his team or on the fringes. So would expect his contract to be extended.

Im pretty sure Forest are not too flush with cash either - he might move on and take a step down or equivlent but its going to be a few years till hes back here (hopefully) that said who though barmby would have the gamble and moved down to Hull (home town club – wants to give something back???)

Hull are a slightly different propsition to us and are paying Barmby a good wage you can be sure of that

I knew Evo fairly well when he was here and he told me on more than one occassion that he saw himself as coming back to Salop to finish his career.
But it did used to get to him the amount of stick he from some sections of the crowd. It really was quite unbelievable.
I can't see him fitting into Gary's plans to be honest as he wants hungry youngsters who are going to be sold on at a profit.

Why would he not fit GPs plans tho? You need some experience in there somewhere - MOC is on his last legs, Tolley will probably be off, Street is off, Sedge (while playing well at mo) probably won't be key to a promotion chasing team - so we will need 2 or 3 more midfielders - get a couple more youngsters and an experienced head who also has the right work ethic. And can score goals. Evo would fit that bill imo, but if GP decides he doesn't or thinks someone else is better....then that's fine by me too!

You also have the fact that Gary might not be here in a year or 2 when Evo wants to step down

It is far sillier that we have Mick Wadsworth at the club than it is to say we could have Paul Evans back in Blue and Amber
I did not expect us to sign Walton again
If Evans can do the job, bring some experience and help our team then let;s go for it
But we don;t have a lot fo money and he would certainly cost, unless of course he feels he has earned his money and just wants the challenge

We are overlooking one fact.
Evans is still an important member of the Forrest first team. 36 appearences this season speaks volumes.
Yes he is out of contract, along with a lot of other players, but there seems to be a belief amongst the Forrest fans I spoke to and in their fanzine that Megson will want Evans to stick about for a bit longer.
Its players like Marlon King, David Johnson, Impey and Jess who are the high earners Megson is wanting to shift (altho Taylor and Garrard are also both on big wages)
The instance with walton, was that he had not featured for Derby all season (bar maybe one or two games) and they were desperate to get rid of him. Hence Stitch came back to us on a free dor a decent wage and decent settlement from Derby.

If, a big ifEvo wanted to come back, at wage we could afford, and GP wanted him, then his experience would be a must amongst what will probably be a young squad, a few older heads are always needed.

i used to give evo stick from the riverside. i tend not to have a go at players very often. however, i saw too many games were he covered very little ground and preferred to attempt 50 yard passes that went out for goal kick after goal kick. this p!ssed me off because (a) i knew he had much more ability than we were seeing and (b) his legs were full of lager.
