Hi Mate
Just correcting you on the some players at Wrexham were on £5000 quote you made!
I think this is Alex Hamilton bulls**t as apparently our highest earner Darren Ferguson was on £3000 at the most.
I believe The Trinidad defender Dennis Lawrence is the next highest earner. Our problems are more to do with Alex Hamilton failing to pay the tax bill than the high wages to be honest as the club has cut it's playing squad drastically over the last 3 or 4 years.
Not sure what Bill Wingrove has been saying but he's not to be trusted!

3 grand a week for a league 1 player? That's £150,000 a year. I'll take a rough guess here but Wrexham get 4,000 gates on average, say 25 times a year. That's probably around a £1 million a year in gate receipts. 15% is going to one player? Now that's a lot.

I bet our wage bill this year will make pretty bad reading, I'd wager that several of our players were (are) on well over £1k a week during the Conference season.

Bill Wingrove told us that at the time him and Gutterman took over there were two Wrexham players on £5k a week

I think Ferguson's wages have been reduced quite a bit, not sure what he is on now but it's not £3000 a week.
Alex Hamilton is talking ****

you use the term Bill Wingrove and Alex Hamilton interchangeably
should we be worried?

What was Shrewsbury's average gate last season? Ours was 4400 It's 4886 at the moment which is pretty good for us, the second highest average since 92/93. Hopefully we can maintain that or get over 5000 average

As also a Spurs fan, Id be interested what Chris Armstrong is now earning, having dropped down from premiership wages

He's a bit far gone now isnt he.
Ofton out injured, failed to do much at spurs consistantly and failed to impress at Bolton, I'd have imagined his basic wage would be quite low with heavy incentives on appearences and goals scored.
