Very hard to take any real positive points from last night, there was no real urgency in the players, very poor in defence and never really looked like scoring, can only remember the Dale keeper making one save of any note.
Crosses-Awful, we were putting balls in the box but there was no one there to recieve them. Several time playres didn't even bother looking up to see if there was anyone in the box-just hit & hope, needs work as do corners most of them were played straight to the first Dale defender. Lowe's work rate was spot on-BUT HE'S A STRIKER, he's dying on the wings, get him up front and he can take teams apart (just look at Kiddie)
Think we need to adopt a more direct approach when it comes to passing as to many times last night (and this season) we've tried to play attractive football and been punished for it.
85 min, 2-0 down, town have a corner-Challis & Tinson are both on the half way line marking ONE Dale attacker-just about summed it up.
Still think Peters has to be given time to settle in and bring in some new face after all with the exception of Kevin Langmead (who did ok I thought-looked useful) we still have the same bunch of inconsistent players that we've watched all season-urgently need a left winger, right winger and a new striker (or Dan Bragoli). Then I think we will start to see a positive change-still think he is the correct choice in the short term at least.
Typical! I spend 5 minutes on Football Manager 2005 and I think i'm Brian Clough ;D Anyone else got this game yet? I definately recommend it!
