...you can't expect such a dramatic turnaround in fortunes within such a short space of time? Peters has only been in the job for a couple of weeks with only one addition to the squad. I think we all understand and appreciate that the squad needs strengthening further and I have no doubt that the manager will look to address this within the coming weeks. We are in trouble, no doubt about that and Peters has a very big job on his hands to turn it around...and its not going to happen overnight. I think any criticism of the manager and the team at this early stage in Peters tenure is a tad harsh and premature. I was very disappointed with the result last night but certainly not despondent. I fully believe that better times ahead, but us supporters are going to have to be a little patient and a little more forgiving for a while, until things turn for the better...I'm sure better times are ahead with Peters as manager...

Very disappointed and sorry to hear about the poor atmosphere at the at the Meadow last night, I was gutted I couldn’t have been there last night. Town v Rochdale on a cold Tuesday, December night under the floodlights at the Meadow just makes me pine for home, it really does (and I'm not sh!tting you here). All the worse for knowing that these nights are numbered with the move to the New Meadow imminent. Think Town fans should be relishing each and every trip to the Meadow these days, cos it'll be the last winter we spend there...I can't wait for the games against Darlington and Bristol!! We have to see the old girl off in style int we, give her a decent send off?!! I'm even tempted to get meself over to the Riverside on the 28th for the first time to lend me voice to the support!! Play up Shrewsbury!!

from the 3 games he has had in charge i reckon we would have expected to struggle against Swansea and Sc***horpe and maybe beat Rochdale so the 3 points from 9 is a reasonable return in my book

lets see where we are on New Years day and then decide how good we are

I have only just had time to come on here and read the posts.

We have to give GP time. He said at the meeting it wouldn't happen overnight. The first player he has bought in looks as if he could be good. If he brings in others with that quality we could be OK.

If we had carried on as we started last night we would probably have been looking at 3 points. I too was mighty relieved that the two below us also lost but that's not the way I should be or want to be thinking but that's the way it is just now.

Let's at least give it until after the Christmas period before we push any sort of panic button.

I was surprised at the lack of atmosphere last night but I couldn't get myself motivated when the early form dipped so badly. One word for the team for me would be consistency.

To put things in perspective. One STFC fan missed last night after being involved in a serious car accident at the weekend in which one of his friends was killed - he has escaped with serious but not life threatening injuries - we could say that we were lucky to be at the Meadow even if it was dire.
