Rollo Sheridan in his editorial writes:
“Although this is a new club we inherit a massive tradition from the old club. Unlike our friends at AFC Wimbledon, there is no dispute about who are the inheritors of Telford United, the most successful club in FA Trophy history, one of the most feared FA Cup giant killers and, let’s not forget, Shropshire’s champion club only last season in terms of head to head fixtures with Shrewsbury.”

Rollo Sheridan in his editorial writes: “Although this is a new club we inherit a massive tradition from the old club. How about inheriting the massive debt from the old club and paying off some of the hard working people they nearly put out of business. From what I saw last Tuesday they will be stuck in that league for a few seasons yet.

But those debts aren't theirs and anyone who lost money can go jump as far as they are concerned, being a community club and all that But the history is theirs to hold on to, the glory, the joy, Shropshire's Champion Club We sewer rats ought to hang our heads in shame considering we only scr@ped 50 more years in the football league than them Some of their fans are just perpetual losers living in a dream world still, quote of the day anyway

Ah come on, it's a remark isn't it? Only thing I'm not sure about in that little bit of the article is the reference to AFC Wimbledon - who I'm sure are very clear of their history and what they stand for.

Yes knowing Rollo it is very . I suppose you could argue things like that shouldn't be in an official programme but Im sure comments like that have been made in our programme in the various articles In all fairness to Rollo he is one of the better Telford fans and likes the rivalry between the 2 clubs but strictly on a friendly basis. Yes I've argued with many Telford fans how they want it both ways ie They are the old club in the sense of their fine history ( but they are nothing to do with the debts that old club racked up. They were all innocent of course and no one could have guessed that spending millions of pounds on grounds/hotels/players wages on gates of 1500 would end in bankruptcy Let them have their "undefeated record against us" of course we only managed to get promotion into the football league whereas they managed to achieve going bust

Ah come on, it's a remark isn't it? Aahh , but that's the point Ant with Sheridan your never quite sure. Anyone who has observed his ramblings in the local press over the years would surely not be in any doubt as to the fact that he actually believes the crap he comes out with. He is clearly an egotistical prat with an over inflated opinion of his own worth. A couple of friends of mine who are committed KFC fans have been embarrassed by his comments in the past and will surely be again.

If that Quotation has been taken from the official matchday programme, then it seems to me he's trying to brainwash people into believing something different than the actual truth

Ok to put a comment like that in an offical editorial doesn't come across well, I agree however I think people need to chill out I know Rollo and there certainly won't be anything malicious about it, if its then Im personally not bothered (we've taken the p!ss out of them enough times over the years) if it is serious then let them think they are the champions of Shropshire (we know otherwise) and I'll go into work tomorow asking how they got on against Spalding etc ;D End of the day they are at the paying £8 to watch pub football, he has to put something in the programme to cheer them up

He shows how much he loved STFC when he travelled for 3 hours on a train and then bought an Exeter shirt to hiopefully see us relegated during the great escape. At these sorts of comments you just have to laugh. I'm pretty sure the ASFC aren't far off the standard of the Unibond (now that is a comment ;D)

I seem to remeber a snide remark aimed at Telford in our programme a few seasons ago (bout being the only club in shropshire) cant say it went down to well with Bally and other Telford fans. They all went ape, and even then it was only Kevin Davies (i think) not part of the editorial team. Nevermind, he talks about having the history of the old club etc... so at least he cant deny that the old debts should be the new clubs debts

Don't mind the Shrewsbury stuff, although always nicer to mock from a position of strength.
But his ridiculous statement about AFC Wimbledon shows why the guy is clearly a tit.
