ITV1's idea of good music is the same as most of the tinpot (mainly GWR owned) local radio stations these days, in other words its all total bulls**t!
Look in the latest Q magazine for a real assessment of the top records of the year.

You knows it has to be Newport's finest GLC and 'Guns don't kill people' although I quite liked 'Half Man Half Machine' too.

Im proud to say. I like busted, ok, we all know they don't actually play the music, or write the songs, but thats not important, in a largely irrelevant record of the year contest.
Their songs are always catchy, with extensive use of power chords, with hardly a guitar solo in sight.
Ive even bought the Album.

How the hell can such a piece of crap be voted the best track of the year? It's not even a case of teenage girlies voting in their droves because the boys look good. They are ugly as ****. That track sold 178,000 copies. A few years ago those sales figures wouldn't have had them getting in the top 10.

Is the award given to the artist(s) who has highest selling single of the year or is it just who is the most sellable? Last year was Mandy by Westlife...need I say more
