firstly that SSShrew is absolutely spot on with that comment above.

Second - the fact that us becoming a more diffcult team to beat last year happened around about the time Challis arrived is no coincidence.

I'm with OldGit on this one, I think Challis is one of our better players and probably Quinn's best signing. There seem to be other reasons for his dip in form over the last month, but I have confidence in GP sorting it out.

I think some people are getting a bit carried away as to how good Challis is, he's an average 3rd division defender but in recent weeks has had a dip in form, perhaps because of the contract issue, who knows

I personally don't like the way he has gone to the press about this issue, but I think it will backfire and his chances of getting this new increased contract will be practically nil - Roland isn't the sort to be effectivley blackmailed

The thing that makes me laugh (apart from him moaning about having to leave in the dark, welcome to the real world Mr footballer) is he says we won't give him reloaction money but Telford did - look what happened to them when they met every players demand.

Yes it does sound like the club haven't acted well, however we've all been sh!t on at work at some stage. We don't throw our toys out of the pram and go running to the press

I cant believe some of the comments here on this subject, i think Trev is right on with this, if he was told this would happen and it didnt, u cant blame him for going back home, it might take him that long to move to Shrewsbury then find out that hes not wanted, and to be honest would you rent if you already have a home, get of his back and while im having my say, The gaffer has asked us to get behind the team, this is what we need to do, or we might just find ourselves where we were last season, COME ON YOU BLUES.
