Apart from Hark The Herald!-
I must confess to liking Slade's "and here it comes- Merry Christmas, everybody's having fun.....!"
Most irritating? Any Christmas piped Musak in shops.... especially "Walking in a Winter Wonderland"- and jingly jangly sleigh bell type things -
Very "Bah- Humbug" provoking!!!

Best: The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl - Fairy Tale of New York - that put me in the christmas spirit
Worst: I'll go with your piped mu-sick Wiggy - I really pity anyone who works where that's played all day long.

For one to get you feeling good in the morning try Darlene Love "Nobody should be alone at Christmas" It was the theme music to Home Alone 2 (but don't let that put you off ) Its like Roy Wood and Wizzard meets Phil Spector, and is programmed to come on first in my car every morning at the moment

Favourite has to be a toss up between 'Fairytale Of New York' and 'Christmas Rapping' by the Waitresses.
Too many bad ones but Cliff must surely take it.

Pogues song is the best Chrimbo song ever, I quite liked the Avid Merrion 'Proper Crimbo' one but will accept that I'm probably on my own on that one. Dont forget the old classic that is Johhny Mathis 'When a Child is Born' ;D ;D ;D Cliff's 'Millenium Prayer' is surely the worst ever

Definately Wizzard and the less well known.......... A Merry Jingle by 'The greedies' (Midge Ure with Thin Lizzy and a Sex Pistol or two) ...............and not sure who it's by, but has anyone heard 'I want an alien for Christmas' my son and I heard it on the car radio last Christmas, very funny but all I've had is blank faces and a shake of the head on the few occasions I've asked for it in record shops. Anyone help?

Favourite has to be a toss up between 'Fairytale Of New York' and 'Christmas Rapping' by the Waitresses. My two favs as well. Most irritating for me is Slade - not that I don't like it but it has been flogged to death (3 or 4 times) over the years and I'm FED UP of it.

Classiest is Mel Torme, ' chestnuts roasting on an open fire...' etc. I think it's called 'The Christmas Song' ;D
Also like the Phil Spector Chritmas Album and Slade, but agree that they've been over exposed.
Also very much agree with everyone about Riff Pilchard - who buys his stuff?
As for carols, it's 'Oh Come All Ye Faithfull' because I can sing it in Latin.

Favourite pop is Wizzard. I also like the Wham song purely because one of our Sixth Formers with a beautiful voice sang it at a concert. Favourite carols: In the Bleak Midwinter Hark the Herald We Three Kings Sorry can't do any of them in Latin but I sure do admire someone who can

I'm only guessing, but I'll bet Albie the Fox would absolutely love Millenium Song by Harry Webb.
