I dithered about buying one for ages, but caved in and bought a JVC from QVC for £145. They have just been rated "Best Buy" in Which (who priced them at £250). So for those who want one, I can recommend QVC in town. The recorder works with DVD-R, -RW and RAM. Good piece of kit

I think that's probably a DVD Player for that price. We decided to go the whole hog and get a recorder too. Its a lot better than VHS - no more fast forward and rewind, or trying to find the end of programmes.

Wait till after Christmas they will be giving stuff away.
The High Street is struggling to shift anything, look at M&S having another 20% off day tomorrow.

If you park in Raven Meadows and go into the centre it's just there on your right. Near where the New Meadow exhibit was all those years ago...

Tis good for electrical gear - I bought a Sharp minidisc player bout 2 months ago for £25! Amazon price £95 and richer sounds price £120. It should have been £30 but luckily I went in on 15% off electrical products with a plug Sunday

I bought a combined freeview box and digital recorder. Recording is virtually foolproof and pausing live programmes is very useful

Sky + is awesome (and no I don't work for the company) and if I could afford it I would go for the box with the extra memory, only so the kids could slap loads of cartoons on it...
