Quite an interesting afternoon. Had a chat with Cramby and Gregor; Greg is working with a Danish club and they're on their winter break so he came back for a visit, still looks beefy, but nice as ever to talk to. Cramby mumbles a lot and waffled about why he was there - looks a bit wacky with a kind of bleached mohican thing going on. Sammy has had his op and is looking forward to showing the new boss what he can do - he's hoping it will be only a few more weeks.
As for the match, Langmead was excellent first half, set up Tolley for our first, scored a good header from a corner for no. 2 and tucked away a sitter after a scrappy scramble in their 6 yd box for no. 3. Another player to catch the eye was Gary Price playing centre-half. Big, strong, composed and very capable. Looks like a real prospect if he can make the step up from YTS. Briggs was unimpressive and Darby looked pretty despondent despite scoring and setting up Granty. Granty didn't look to offer anything as a wide left player, but looked better 2nd half after Langmead went off and he played more central. Mind you, against such a young side, he ought to have looked good.
Their goal was a spectacular looping shot from 35yds that caught Hart in David Seaman mode. Ant thinks it was a cross, but I'd give it the lad as a well taken goal - best of the match.

Never a shot - just some awful goalkeeping by Hart. Entertaining game though.

Does anyone know if a young lad called Tom(my) Leonard play for Chester today?
Cheers
