As many of you know, a trip is planned by the Scandinavian Shrews, a group of loyal Scandinavians with Blue and Amber blood. The match originally planned for the trip has been moved due to an England match. The other options are 12/3 Shrewsbury-Macclesfield or 2/4 Shrewsbury-Oxford.
Which do you reckon would be the better match to go to?

Tough call. When do they need to decide? Right now it looks like Oxford may well be struggling and it could be a real battle. That would be my choice. But so much depends on what happens between now and then. Hopefully we'll be challenging Macc for a play-off place!

I think a decision will be made quite soon so that all the arrangements can be made. I would err on the side of the later match due to the fact that matches tend to have more importance later on in the season, hopefully for positive reasons.

I think the Oxford game would give a better impression on the Town and English football in general..can't really get excited about macclesfield.

I would go for the Oxford game as it is closer to the end of the season. Hopefully the weather will be that bit better as well.

Go for the Oxford game.
I would imagine the Oxford supporters won't bring a supporters team that day so hopefully the ASFC can play an international side for only the second time in their history ;D

It would have to be 5-a-side though, I don't think a full 11 will be travelling. The fact that the new ground is on the way has made this trip extra special. I was thinking I would miss the trip, but I reckon I'll have to do everything I can to get over with them.

I will e-mail you tonight McKie as I have had some more thoughts on your trip and possible assistance the London Shrews can offer.

To be honest I am not sure. I i do come along, I might come with the whole family and stay a couple of weeks. I am sure my wife would want one last visit to the Meadow. I would think that an extended weekend will be the case for the main party.

so in that case you would be wanting to see more than one STFC match?

Well if I come over for a couple of weeks, absolutely. Playing a game or two wouldn't go amiss. We are planning to come over in the summer, but we may well organise it so that we come over then instead.
