No because you can't afford to turn down money in this day and age. What alternative is there.Lose him in the summer anyway?

sign him up on a new 3 year contract, if GP is the man i think he his, we will be playing championship football by then anyway so helping the town to get promoted will be more of a buzz than just playing for a mid table crewe side week in week out, me thinks lukey boy will stay, besides with the sale of Mossy to Crewe, do we really need to sell any more?

To be honest if we could get him to sign a new deal i would but i have a gut feeling he will be on his way so get what you can now is my opinion.

If Rodgers is determined to leave at the end of the season, we should sell him now for a fee if possible

Bya biding by the clubs decision and not kicking up a huge fuss, Rodgers already put the club before the development of his own career (obviously the thought of scoring 40 goals in the conference might have led him to be believe that there would be regular interest in him). However now is the time for us to let him leave the club nest and spread his wings at a bigger club in a higher league Its the least he deserves. Altho as I have repeatedly stated I do believe he'll be sold before deadline day

I can't see it happening but if it did we would have to say no. If Luke went it would leave us with the untried and untested duo of Sheron and Langmead. Both decent strikers but they lack pace and have never played together before.

Both decent strikers but they lack pace and have never played together before. and there is no back up for injuries/suspensions. I don't think Luke is going anywhere before the end of the season, but if he did we would have to have a new signing lined up.

Why would Crewe come in for Rodgers now when they will be able to pick him up for nothing in the summer.

Why would Crewe come in for Rodgers now when they will be able to pick him up for nothing in the summer. Because they are on their way down as it stands. They will have to splash some cash on someone in the next few hours. Though whether Luke is good enough for The Championship I am not too sure.

We cannot now afford to let him go. I cannot see us winning too many games without him.

So if Crewe come in for Rodgers lets hope that we get some money for him. If he stays or goes I respect GP's decision.
