How can we claim this is a good signing? We will not know untill next season. I seem to recall there was a lot of interest shown in Banim when we signed him Rob, would you say Kelvin Langmead & Neil Ashton (I will only say these two as these have been regulars) have been good signings or bad signings? Look what Sedge played like under Quinn and now under Peters. Have some faith in Gary Peters Rob...there's a good lad

Sounds a promising buy for next season, it will be nice to have a big defender to deal with crosses at both ends of the pitch. Another good acquisition by GP Please try & persuade Tranmere to let us have Ashton permanently now

Yep we're footie fans, and fickle. We've got some faith in the manager. His signings to date have included Neil Ashton and Kelvin Langmead who hadn't a football league game between them before signing and yet both have proved to be a hit - so why shouldn't we look forward to this latest signing? Are you planning to raid Dawley Villa for any more players before deadline day?

Are you planning to raid Dawley Villa for any more players before deadline day? Legally or Illegally i wonder LOL at Bally on wind up mode again. One Non League player out of 6. Hardly what Quinn was doing. There is always the opportunity to get some cheaper tallent in Non leaguebut with Quinn it was the only thing he was signing. Langmead - Preston Ashton - Tranmere Lyng - Preston Wilkinson - Stoke Sheron - Macclesfield Also Clampitt is ex Liverpool youth before he got injured.

Banim, Challis, Whitehead, Grant and Smith were amongst his final signings
he brought in league players and got us promoted
then brought in conference players and we looked relegation certainties

whitehead was done ok, smith was playing well and Trev has been inconsistant
the biggest amazement is how much better some players look with GP in charge

I don't think Grant is a poor player.
Up until a month ago he'd only scored 2 goals less than Luke with a lot less starts but Luke still kept his place.
I want Granty to be here next year and to be given a chance.

Grant always works hard and does look a good player at times but is way to inconsistent. He was in Moslley watching us on Saturday

Being an Town fan, exiled in Nuneaton, I have watched Gavin nunerous times over past 3 months. Town have made a shrewd signing as he has inspired the Boro in that time helping them from mid table to second place.
Good luck Gavin and the Town, you have probably signed a 2004 version of Peter Dolby !

Looks nothing like Peter Dolby, meatier and always looks like he has a bad hair day. However, at 6'4 he is great in the air (as opposed to the hair !) and a solid player who will hopefully give the Town many years service.
