My mobile text alert tells me we have brought in a new player, but this time I will keep quiet until it appears on the web.

Left-sided centre back with a left foot. There's a message in there for Darren Tinson I think.

Nuneaton won't be happy " but Nuneaton's success was built on a solid back-line in which goalkeeper Darren Acton's handling was excellent. Central defenders Neil Moore and Gavin Cowan were also as solid as a rock. "

Ok, do you all really think that he is one for the future. He is 23 and we have paid £5000 up front for him. I think that this man has been signed for the present. Brilliant signing by Peters though (he really does have the board at his feet dun he?)

Monday's Sloppy Star headline: "Tinson has 'vital' role - Peters" Tuesday's Sloppy Star headline: "Town Boss signs 'strong' defender"

Another strong signing Would be nice to get someone, a play maker, into midfield though.

Monday's Sloppy Star headline: "Tinson has 'vital' role - Peters" Tuesday's Sloppy Star headline: "Town Boss signs 'strong' defender" Cowan is not going to be fit enough to play 90 mins of league football, maybe some bench appearances, so yep Tinson is still vital till the end of the season

Sounds good. If Barnet wanted him then he was going to play League football next year, that's the difference from Banim.
BUt I'd still bring Banim back and see what he has to offer. Is he loaned or do we have a buy back clause or is he definately off?

How can we claim this is a good signing?
We will not know untill next season.
I seem to recall there was a lot of interest shown in Banim when we signed him

I seem to recall there was a lot of interest shown in Banim when we signed him The difference is, we know Gary Peters brings in good young talent. i.e ashton and langmead. Quinn just signed anything that moved, although in fairness he did make some good signings, ridler, tinson and howie for a few.

I'd argue that Quinn spent wisely when signing players, he was just a bit reckless when it came to paying them off, but then the board are just as much to blame for that.
