It isn't about our team- but it's interesting! I've got a friend who's Portugese. I haven't known her long, met her through Church. She came to some of our meetings, although she's a Catholic. She said we were more friendly, and helped her when she lost her (English) husband. She's not long been widowed- so appreciates having visitors. I've started visiting her on Wednesdays. We were chatting tonight- and got on to the subject of... Jose Mourinho!!! I asked her how his name was really pronounced- because I knew it's different than the Spanish- that sounds like- "Hose-ay" She told me- but it's still subtly different from what the commentators say- and I can't quite say it like she can!! But- and this is the REALLY interesting bit- She comes from the same town as his family. It's Setubal- about 30 kilometres from Lisbon. She doesn't know the family personally- it's not such a small place- but she does know of them. She says he's villified in Portugal now, because people say he's left Porto- and he's just greedy- but she says that they're just jealous!! She likes him, too!! It is strange because in a way she's so like him in attitude- very upfront and tells it like it is- AND her accent is the same (well, it would be, wouldn't it?!!!) She does watch when Chelsea are playing!!! This is so good, because now we can talk about him!!
