People must be working Just collected an essay back, got 46% (minus 10% for late submittion) Not happy at all, think i got awarded the mark because my jewish seminar tutor thinks I'm anti semitic, because i dared to criticise Israel foreign (and domestic) policy Not happy, I stayed up to 4am writing that frigging essay On a lighter note, could do with some work experience somewhere (to improve my cv). Anyone got any decent suggestions, has anyone done any work experience (other than secondary school stuff) ? I'm thinking of asking Mr Own patterson if i can tag along with him for a bit in the summer, and may applyu to the star???

See if there are any places offering internships still. I did one at Citigroup Global Markets in my penultimate Uni summer and it was excellent.

Anything handed in late at my Uni would go unmarked and you would get 0%.

At my uni it operatres on a sliding scale, 10% drop for one day late, 50% for two days late , and no mark if later than that - seems fair enough to me

It was the same at King's, if your essay was handed in after the deadline you got a zero

if the essay is handed in no later than a week late you lose 10% anything after a week results in a fail and an extremely low overall coursework mark to carry forward. To be fair, the previous essay i did got 75% I'm not a layabout I missed the tuesday morning seminar because i was feeling rank, and so emailed him later that morning to ask what work i'd missed, what needed doing and when for. He emailed me back on monday and said there was an essay due and it was due the next day at 9am. As monday is a busy day, I new it would be late and so new I'd lose 10% so took an extra week to do it. And yes I did go to his office on a wednesday and thursday in an attempt to hunt him down but he wasnt there First late essay since I got to university
