If this link doesn't get you right through- it's on the official Shrewsbury Town site. It's Questions and Answers with Gary Peters. Try this- it might work. But if it doesn't get on to the site and read it. He's SO right. www.shrewsburytown.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/QandADetail/0,,10443~626368,00.html PLEASE read it. Especially when he talks about what OUR silence does for the opposition! Those who disagree with any of us who have discussed this previously, cannot SURELY disagree with a man who has won the respect of all of us, in such a short time. Just listen to HIM!!!!! (link adjusted only to make work)

Every STFC fan that traveled to Grimsby gave there all and sang there heart out for the team. At the end of the game once the players had shook hands with the oppostition the STFC players walked over to the fans behind the goal and applauded us, when the players headed down the tunnel Gary Peters made a point of walking onto the pitch made his way to us and applauded us for our support banging his hand against his heart as a gesture, twas a touching moment

Great gesture from the man. Not every fan sang thier hearts out-one old boy behind was maoning for the length of the game. Don't mind moaning during a cr@p game...I do it myself. But when were playing fairly well it does tend to take the mick. Still on the whole a decent away following given the distance & the fact the ground is adjacent to the north sea!!!

We need to get the message across to the miserable ones who think it's a tradition, if they sit in the stands, to moan or sit in stony silence. As Gary Peters said- the only ones who benefit from that are the fans of the opposition. We need a few more brave people opposite from the Riverside, who'll brave the stony looks for breaking their "tradition"!!! We need a wall of sound coming from every corner of the Meadow. Next Saturday- who's going to go for it?!!!

I sit there too and completely agree. I am determined that one week we will get them going but goodness knows when it will be. I thought the support at Grimsby was excellent and so did GP. Mind you I thought he was punching his chest to say that his heart had only just stood the 2nd half - I felt that at times
