After seeing Sam Ricketts make his full debut for Wales in midweek do you think the fact that J.Tolley.playing for Shrewsbury has held him back from breaking into the Welsh senior side? or is Ricketts better? or he has more competition in the position he plays? Good luck with the setting up of the trust by the way. Jamo i will answer for you save you bothering. Bally you really are a prat why waste your time coming on another teams message board who you have no allegiance to ? you must have no life whatsoever

Dare I profer that Ricketts has learnt his trade a lot quicker than Tolley has - I expected Tolley to kick on development wise a while ago but the improvement has been too gradual to warrant an international cap

Jamie played really well and showed part of his international class on the pitch today, couldn't give a toss about his performances for the national squad as long as he keeps up the standard for STFC as he did today.

Gallon got it spot on, playing for a welsh side gives a player a better chance of playing for the national side. Even the u21's have been in the same position, Paul Evans couldnt get in under Flynn but 3 of his Wrexham reserves could.

Bally can you sort out an arguement, what was the Date when news first came through that MIRAS had gone tits up? I seem to remember it was a wednesday or thursday morning - although some old geezer tried to break the news on Buckschat the night before but got several F's fired into him for his trouble

Look what happened to him We will assess Sam after 10 games for Wales. As for Jamie, well along with a few others they just have not developed at the Meadow. We will see what the 'odd couple' can do with him.

Tolley has been much improved for the Town since GP's arrival. He could well make a future full Welsh international in my opinion.

Tolley has never been a regular in the first team squad? Cor careful Bally you will cut yerself........no regular in the under 21's etc, The Welsh squad is on the whole with few exceptions pretty poor, on a selfish note I'd rather Flynn hung around in the Job for a while, and he left Tolley & Edwards out of it.

Perhaps you mean well Bally but there always seems ro be hidden messages in your posts which wind people up. You seem to be suggesting that Shrewsbury are so insignificant in the footballing pyramid, compared with Swansea, Wrexham and Cardiff that there is no way that Tolley could ever make a full international playing for us- rubbish! With the influx of foreign players to the higher divisions, the smaller British International teams are going to be relying more and more on good players from the lower leagues. As for the comparison with "your" Sam Ricketts (yes what a great contribution TU made to his career in all of 10 months was it : , I dont know much about him but his goal scoring record does not seem great to me. As for Jamie Tolley, look no further than your own manager in deciding what he can achieve in the game

Rickets is playing for a welsh side (1 of only 3 in the football league) who are succesful and near the top end of their division
Tolley is playing for an English side who are near the bottom of the football league
Who do you think the manager of the Welsh Under 21 side is going to see more of?
And although you say the squad contains only 5 players from Welsh clubs the vast majority are from premiership/championship sides
Congratulations to Rickets by all means from becoming a non-league player to international player in a short period but please don't turn this into another little dig at STFC as Chaz said

I think the fans that saw Ricketts play for Telford could see a good player,he could not of moved up the footballing ladder without being that.I was one that wanted him for the Town.Jamie is one of those Hot and Cold type players, you dont know which one will turn up.People i know say he has stayed still as a player for the Town and should of moved. But when he has had a chance for Wales to impress he cant hold down a place, which tells you more about the lack of talent in the Wales yourh system. He has ability but can he get better?.I am not convinced.

Gallon got it spot on, playing for a welsh side gives a player a better chance of playing for the national side. To an extent. But a shortage in a position gives is far more important. Tolley can play central midfield but has at least 7 or 8 players ahead of him the pecking order.

When SNFC posted something about attendances last week it was received ok i wonder what the reaction would of been if i had posted the same post?
