Our record with Walton in the team is excellent. If he is in the side, we are a different prospect. Still worried about the lack of goals coming from the front men though.

Im not too worried when we arent conceding as long as someone scores. The changes upfront will come in the summer I suspect.
BTW continuing the thread
"Oooh Davie Walton"

Amazing how peoples opinion of players change so quickly. A few months into the season and I seem to remember many a person saying Walton was a has-been, over the hill, injury prone, guaranteed to make a mistake a game (same old Stitch I remember a few comments) - now he's class/a legend etc
Not knocking anyone as everyone does it - I was slating Tinson not so long ago and he has been superb recently

If he continues to play well he might get transfered. After all we need the money. Perhaps Crewe might be interested

Another good game from Davey again, but Whitehead is also playing well.
Whitehead and Howie are may players of the season thus far.

Stitch was class today, he cleared everything up at the back, and was a hugh danger to Grimsby on set pieces going forward, he really is showing through as a different class of player away from home, perhaps the pressure is less for him ?

There isn't a better centre back in this division than David Walton.

To be fair the defence in general have been excellent since GP took over. Good to see a solid performance from Trevor Challis too today
