FA Vase 5th Round tomorrow. Shall be up at Colne, tomorrow for what should be an excellent Cup Tie. After wins at Gosport Borough and at home to Ledbury Town, the Diddy Men face a tough tie at last season semi finalists. And my boy is Diddy's mascot. It is the only time their results get on Soccer Saturday! Ex Oxford star, Paul Powell is showing his old form, but Joey Beauchamp is cup tied! Not of great interest to many of you, but those of you that know me..wish us luck!

Can't see you beating them, They were a decent side 20 years ago when Tony Woodcock played for 'em - won the Bundersliege twice

The mascot package is a great deal, and he had a great time. He got a personalised shirt, time in the dressing room with the players, a page profile in Didcot's programme last week and a CD full of pictures.....plus a lot of attention from the players.
As for the game..on a very heavy pitch with a slope worse than Barnet playing up hill into the teeth of a gale in the first half, Diddy turned around 1-0 down and in a thrilling 2nd half turned it into a 3-2 win. Stunning, fantastic.
As for the Colne supporters, well a more miserable and arrogant bunch probably don't exist.....we ended up in Colne Rugby club where they were very welcoming and hospitable.

Hi Steve, I hope you are not turning your lad into a Didcot fan over the Town!! How's tricks anyway? Keeping well? Not seen you for a while at a Town game, managing to get to many?

Hi Chris, Not doing too bad...what about yourself? Haven't been to the The Shrews since Southend in October....lots of accumulative factors....Under 9's football on Saturday mornings...the cost of watching Shrewsbury (£14) v. the cost of watching Didcot (£3.50)....watching Didcot (FA Vase quarter finalists,2nd in the league) is better than watching Shrewsbury etc... At the moment it's pretty good fun down at Loop Meadow and long may it continue. A great 5-0 win last night over Henley Town to follow up saturdays result and Vase Fever has hit Didcot. Bring on Bury Town. www.didcot.com/football
