One thing that struck me today...........was the wife The second thing was, there was such a rich skill mix of people at that meeting last night, and hopefully more still at the next meeting, that we need to harness the expertise available. My concern is bourne out of one individual I focused on, who sat alone, and who I did not even know went down the Meadow. He listened, voted, slipped away (I Think) without signing the sheet that he could help. This bloke was simply hiding his light under a bushall I have had several meetings with him over the years, he managed a public service with a 5million pound budget, shaped it, reformed it to meet new developments, and made tough decisions when they needed to be made. What safety net do we propose to ensure expertise like this doesn't slip through the net A "helpline" to inform shadow trust members of such individuals maybe

of one individual I focused on I'm surprised you could focus at all the way you were knocking that Guinness back speaks the jealous driver It's a good point you make, can people who others think can do a job for the trust be nominated by others. The trust could approach them and if they are not interested then fair enough - but it might give a few talented fans the nudge they need to get involved.

This is a good idea - then the working group can make an approach - as likely as not it is someone who is going to be flattered ratherthan offended by an approach.
Of course it may be that the guy thinks that he has so little time to do anything, but every bit can count.

The working group/s first task is to do a quick skills check of the type of people they have.
Then skills gaps can be tried to be filled by approaching people who can offer some time to help.
They will be a need for auditors......

They will be a need for auditors...... Seems to let "a beancounter of the highest order" off the hook
