I thought the Bury defence were much quicker to clear their lines than the Town defence. This was a bit of a worry for me, because it meant having to soak up too much. I agree that the Town were well organised and looked secure, but wished they could clear the ball better. It only needs one ball to drop invitingly to an opposition player in the box to go one nil down, when clearing the lines quicker would deny them that opportunity. When our attacks broke down, we didn't usually get a second chance, but when their attacks broke down they were more likely to get a second bite. This has been a trait of Town teams for the last few years.

That's due to the phenomenon known as 'barrowball'.
It's the way that Graham Barrow likes his football to be played - hoof it as far as the eye can see and chase it!
Ask any Rochdale fan about 'barrowball'!

Also thought they were quicker at closing down any Town player with the ball than we were with them ? They won a lot more second balls - good job they appeared a bit clue-less when they did........few times in the first half they could have shot when they came through the middle but always knocked it wide ?
